Look at what Port had to give up to get 6 from Freo, using that as a guide the crows would have to give up all 3 first rounders to get pick three with a future third coming back certainly not multiple seconds as suggested.

Would take a absolutely monumental price to get GC to consider it.

They aren’t giving you multiple firsts for it regardless of the denomination of those. You want more picks this year use your future first.

At the time Weller for pick 2 in a weaker draft (Brayshaw is a gun though) I though was about market rate anyway.

You draft for 2-3 years. Get players to buy in. Use the GWS model don’t worry too much about 2019. I have faith Dew is the right guy to turn it around

FWIW GC have a great draft hand and whatever way they go should work well. It’s Carlton I can’t believe aren’t trying everything to trade down. Historically bad year and they only have1 pick above 80. And they look like taking a 68kg kid. Geez there is a hell of a lot of holes on that list that won’t be improved this year.

This might be on the radar, Can't see the Blues going in with 1 and then picks 80+. Think your future first or 2nd has to be at least dangled. A club like Port might be interested, or Adelaide.

It would fit the script that apparently they have wanted him from a very long way out. It is also no coincidence that they have 3 x 1st round picks this year and I have no doubt they would sacrifice a few of them to get Lukosius. I wonder if 8 + 16 + 21 for 2 + 29 (or maybe 24) might be around the mark. Alternatively, 8 + 13 + 21 for 2 + 24 + 29...

Not a chance as that is essentially three mid-teens picks for pick 2 and 24.

I mean even points wise it doesn't work as you are asking for 3400+ points and offering about the same number of points in exchange. The problem is pick 2 is always worth more than a few picks in the mid teens.

You can't say that until draft night as no-one knows what will actually happen. What port paid another club for a pick and what the crows and another club might agree by way of pick swaps re mutually exclusive. There was a number of rumors that the crows had struck a pick swap deal with GC around draft time. Everything has gone quiet since then and we are all guessing what may and may not happen. A deal may / may not happen..who knows

Not a chance as that is essentially three mid-teens picks for pick 2 and 24.

The great unknown here is are there multiple players GC want that will be there in the teens? and if a 2019 pick was included then it also serves their interests for next season in terms of loading up for another assault at the draft or to target players. Not saying any of this happens but until draft night your guess is literally as good as mine or anyone else's
