According to a few places tigers want stocker if he’s gone will look at downgrading 17 for two picks and use one of them on McHenry
I was just thinking the Tiges desperately need another short mid/small fwd

Best draft in 15 years and we can get the best of the best why would we want to trade down?
Yep and that could happen on Thursday night.Keep pick 1 but use your 2019 1st rounder for at least 1 or even 2 first rounders this year though.
I doubt we'll ever see a bid at #1 - it's too valuable a marketing tool for rubbish clubs.Hypothetical spanner thrown in on draft night.
What if Carlton bid on Blakey at pick 1?
Would swans match? and draft could be completely different if so.
Blakey would not be the most left field no.1 pick

Yep. It would mean that technically Sydney would have pick 1, so Carlton would not only not be able to use pick 1 in marketing for 2019, but they are also secretly admitting they did not want the guy they drafted, or at least not as much as they wanted someone else.
Yeah the players selected after a F/S or academy selection bid must be devastated
Not the same thing really as pick 1 holds a lot more weight than any other pick. There is something to be said for being seen as the best player of your draft.

Bidding on Blakey at 1 would be fantastic. Next to no chance of it though.
Maybe at 2 if GC really like him.
Jordan Clarke met with Steve Rosich yesterday (Haggers reporting it on 882 - so it must be true)
Not much different St Kilda /Port will Bid him at 4 ,5.Hope Dew feels a certain sense of loyalty to the Swans.

St Kilda have pick 46, 67 to help them move up .
It was the last time I changed it (back in 2012). Had to get a premium account. Not sure if anything has changed
How is Himmelberg coming along? I know his brother at GWS played some good football in 2018.
That guy Cal Twomey on his podcast on theAFL website said it is the best draft since 2001 I think. Sheehan was on radio here the other day saying the same thing. Personally I’m not sure but it does look like there could easily be players taken from 10 to 25 that could end up elite. Hately, Jones, Butters, RCD, they could all end up A graders.

I get the feeling that most posters commenting on these draft prospects haven’t even watched a second of them play footy and are just rewording what Cal Twomey says
Not saying theyre wrong, but it seems like once one or two 'experts' go with this line, the other media commentators who havent seen an u/18 game all season just jump on board and parrot it.
Yep this is why we'll take no 1 to the draft. Sam Walsh it will be.Unfortunately Carlton cannot trade their 2019 first rounder UNLESS they manage to trade in 2019 second, fourth and fifth round picks which they do not have at present.
Great minds hey Adam![]()
I must have been the only one not invited to the "Wedding" ?Random question but have you considered changing your username in the last few years? Apart from the fact that Walker is married, Dangerfield is no longer at Adelaide.
