Wow Browns vision actually looks awesome lol. Great skill, attack on the footy and dash. What is the go with him though as i heard GWS pre listed him or something???

GWS have or will pre-list him so he wont be in the draft. I heard we were keen and DT seems to think we are pushing for him. Would be a great get.

I don't think we need to target inside/outside mids. If you look at Geelong all of there mids can play both inside and out and that is what you want.
So what you're saying is, we need to target inside/outside mids. ;)

What does everyone else think of markworth?

Reminds of rohan from sydney.
Got a link to some footage?

I was watching that on the live stream. I don't think it was that slow. It was over 3.1 seconds, but it wasn't that slow.

That was the official time according to Emma Qwayle's twitter.

I wouldn't be not drafted Grigg based on these tests, we could do much worse at pick 14 IMO.

Would still look at Grigg. We need footballers not athletes. Was quick enough to win MVP honours for South Aus. is a big strong kid and kicks the ball beautifully over a distance.

His pace will get better with more running training.

Anyone know Cotchin's 20m sprint time from draft camp. My point is he doesn't appear overly quick either (perhaps his times will blow that theory out of the water!) but his decision making and poise make up for it and then some. Lack of pace may not be the end of the world if he has a big motor and is a smart footballer.

P.s. I googled Cotchin's sprint times with no luck, but stumbled across Gourdis' times. What's the go with the kid? He killed the 20m and repeat 20 sprints! Clearly pace isn't the be all and end all of AFL footy!

And he is way up there in the vertical jump heights too! Pretty close to the record. I can't stop thinking we haven't given hin enough chances at senior level to get used to the pace of the game..

Makes me want to keep Gourdis on the list for at least another season. He wasnt that far behind Alex Rance a year ago... if he gets delisted he should get another chance elsewhere

Running vertical jump
Year Score (cm) Name
2002 102 Jared Brennan (Brisbane)
2008 102 Nic Naitanui (West Coast)
2007 101 David Gourdis (Richmond)
2004 96 Danyle Pearce (Port Adelaide)
2005 90 Wayde Mills (Brisbane)

so much potential... did himself a disservice getting suspended in the VFL. Poor preseason too

I'm pretty sure I've read somewhere that cotchin is sub 3 seconds. But only just 2.98 or 2.97.

Just scanning through now... another interesting one:
Shuttle run - beep test
Year Score (level) Name
2002 15.6 Jarrad McVeigh (Sydney)
2009 15.6 Brayden Norris (North Melbourne)
2006 15.4 Shane Edwards (Richmond)
2003 15.3 Farren Ray (St Kilda)
2009 15.1 Ryan Bastinac (North Melbourne)

So on top of being lightning fast, he also has a great vertical leap? So clearly he either can't play football, or has issues with his attitude/application? His brain fade late in the VFL season would indicate the latter may be the case. Such a shame... i reckon he's worth a final chance. Even delist him, and tell him he has a pre-season to prove his worth and we'll re-list him in the PSD.

interesting read... this 2007 mock draft had Rance going at pick 11. Also had Gourdis at pick 36. Seems the tigers drafted pretty well this year

Dont forget how good a pick Cotchin was at pick 2 because we were linked with Cale Morton after having picked up Mitch in trade week. If we got this pick wrong we could have had Masten or Morton... yuck

If I remember correctly, Cotchin ran a 2.9 something at the Vic testing earlier in the year. His first 5m are very quick. He's certainly much, much, much faster than 3.4, which is David Hale type slow. Jarrod Sylvester probably beat that.
