Good pick up on Darrou guys, what you guys are saying is pretty spot on in terms of what kind of player he is.

Strength, skills and composure. No doubt he has a lot going for him. My main query on him would have to be his pace and height.

I'm sure clubs would be taking a keen interest in his sprint time as the first 20 meters is very important for defenders. It hasn't really been much of an issue this year in the TAC as he's an exceptional reader of the play and has relied on that to be the first to the ball or kill the contest.

If he was 3-5 cm taller he'd be seen as one of the better defenders of the draft and a 2nd rounder, but third round onwards is probably right.

Anyone know what Darrou's combine results were?

Yeah he is that awkward height... but like i said, he was comfortable playing on blokes taller than him. Could be a steal. Very worthy 3rd or 4th rounder and probably my favourite TAC cup player!

Exactly my thoughts there Toadvine, Looks slow & think the pace of afl will catch him out.

For a 190 cm player he cant be slow other wise will struggle also my thoughts on Grigg.

Wouldnt mind Darrou if he falls down to Rokkie list but wouldnt really risk a senior spot.

You cant average 4.5 tackles per game if your slow... especially when you consider he is not a stoppage player

Can't sleep, even though i got school tommrow :( nothing better to do then to go on big footy :D, this darrou guy, seems pretty good even though he is 190cm the ******ed height, hopefully though maybe he can grow a couple of cm's over the summer but is it worth the risk if we use our 3rd rounder, i think so!

brock mclean ............... Need i say more

Im sure you will find he gets involved in stoppages

Terrible argument

You are comparing a junior CHB to a one dimensional stoppage player. Dont discount darrou's efforts to average 4.5 tackles considering he is a Sam Fisher type player.

Where exactly in the video does he look slow?

And please consider we are talking about using a pick 50+ on him. Of course he is going to have some deficiencies or ??? Over him, I think he is well worth a 3rd or 4th rounder

Sounds a pretty likely type, but obviously will never be a KPD. Can he become a big bodied midfielder?

Good to see the Tiges preserve a draft pick by doing a deal with GWS to get Steve Morris... he looks lightning quick. Maybe someone who can match up on the betts/garlett types.

Probably would have cost us a 2nd or 3rd round draft selection if we went through Father-Son

Great move:thumbsu::):thumbsu::)

I wouldnt rule it out but for arguments sake i would like to point out that Josh Gibson is no doubt a KPD and he is a mere 189cm... There is hope for Darrou!

If you draft Darou, like Gibson will play on 3rd forward. Possible upgrade on Thursfield; SO what height is Thursfield anyway...

He (Thursfield) seems to got away with it over the years, and also lacks weight;

Thursfield 192cm and 86 KGs
Darrou 190cm and 90KGs

pretty similar

Id rather take Darrou with his skills and work ethic over a guy whose best asset is that he is 4 cm taller

Shane Nelson anyone?

Scored a 97% average in the Draft Combine for kicking efficiency with a score of 29/30... Do you think he would be a good fit for us?

Yes.

However he would be a Conca-esq pick up at our first pick and I don't see him slipping as far as our second. Stranger things have happened though

I would think Grigg is who we should take. I really hope he is there at 15. Originally everyone was all over him talking him up to go top 8 and then because of his 20m everyone is saying he will go second round.

Gun footballer, SA MVP, tough, great kick = GET HIM

Completely agree, I reckon he could force Wacko Jacko out of the side. His left boot is poetry and even better he hits targets from scrimmages under the pump!

Anyones thoughts on Sam Kerridge? Do you think he will be a Tiger or will he most likely go somewhere else?

Yes I would really like that.

The 20m test should see him slide. I'd really like us to go for him and not try to be quirky. I know he didn;t do that well in the SANFL final, vs the likes of Polec and Trengove who dominated, but he should end up a fine player if he gets fit and gets to where the ball is

Geelong isnt an overly fast side, but they look it because they move the ball so well. Getting it and using it well is very imporant, and Grigg seems to have these qualities in abundance.

Crows may trade out of the first round, which would boost our chances

if we draft a midfielder i hope its a inside midfielder and an in and under type who can still kick the footy, replacing jackson and pushing foley to the bench is a big must.

also cant really afford to draft another half back flanker, we need a pure mid or someone who can play forward, as we are unlikely to find a gun chb at our pick.

Looks like we will be losing Pick 37 for Maric... was there anyone that could have been around this pick that you were desperate to pick up or are you happy to let this pick go for the big man?

I was hoping Alex Woodward would be around at this pick

I can see him sliding now that Adelaide have traded pick 10 for Crouch

I was hoping for O'Hanlon. Some mocks have him going in the 50's or not at all, though word is Sydney like him, maybe at 43 (I think)

Hopefully we can trade back into the second round
