good question. he may well be worth that but i think he will last to maybe the rookie draft.
take him at 73 and hope a good kid slips to pick 55.
we are now in the game and its only my opinion but i think theres a fair few decent mature players up for grabs late nd and psd. our first 3 picks should go on youth. we have already taken a 26 yr old and a 22 yr old.
in saying all this if we took him at 55 i dont think id be too upset.

should not really comment as i just havent seen enough of any of them but to me kavanagh at 15 and bolger at 26 would be pretty good. kersten at 55 a bit of a stretch i know but even im allowed to be feral at times.
Have heard Essendon will take him with a 3rd rounder. If a good kid slips to 55 then we take the kid as we should and hope he lasts 73 but if no good kids left then may as well take a ready-made midfielder with a big body. Could give us 5 new players for round 1. 6 if we get a good one in the PSD.

If Kersten lasts to 55 ill be wrapped. We need that 3rd tall.

I don't know a lot about the draft this year, but what I've heard and read about Markworth seems a very likely choice for one of our first two pick, going on Dimma and Jacksons recent drafting style. Highly intelligent, first class attitude, brilliant leadership skills and a very good kick.

I get the feeling that the tigers will be drafting a small forward with one of our first rounders. Jake King will be 28 at the start of next season and isnt a superstar anyway. Robbie Nahas is really our only other true small forward.

Who are the best small forwards that could be around picks 15 and 26? Would you want them?

Just pick up McCarthy.

Yer that's quite possible. Id imagine it would be someone who can play midfield too though if we use a first rounder. Devon/Clay Smith can both do that can't they?
Just pick up McCarthy.

Why? He's a midfielder not a small forward in the slightest.

are we a chance with pick 15?

For me its Forster at 15 and Waldhuter at 26. Forster's class reminds me of Cotchin and Waldhuter's tackling pressure and attack on the ball are unrivalled.

Taylor Adams is another who's attack on the ball is great. Elite inside ball winner from the falcons and even though his highlights don't show it he's a great tackler. Good skills, great character and a leader too.

Much in the style of Tom Libertore.

Unfortunately Waldhuter can't get the ball. I had a look at his stats the other day. Nothing to write home about and i thought the way he goes about it that would be his strength. Im with you on Forster though. Would love him to last to 15. Hope GWS dislike him. :D

Do u think Taylor Adams will last? I guess it only takes GWS not to like him and he's practically ours.

Emma Q apparently put up her top 15 which i have copied from the D and T board. She has said that GWS will need to reach for some talls which could suit clubs in the 15 to 20 bracket.

1 gws Patton
2 gws Coniglio
3 gws Tyson
4 gws Buntine
5 gws Longer
6 port Wingard
7 gws Hoskin-Elliott
8 brisbane Greene
9 gws Sumner
10 gws Kavanagh
11 gws Devon Smith
12 brisbane Tomlinson
13 gws Kersten
14 gws Haynes
15 richmond Docherty

After seeing that she has us taking Docherty at 15 i rewatched his footage and am impressed. According to Kevin Shehan he was best on ground against WA and that was coming off a limited preseason. Nice speed, penetrating kick and a powerful build. Only issue is that we probably have enough half back flankers but he would definately free Lids up and potentially could go onto the wing or play as a half forward. Would be interested to know if he has played as a genuine midfielder in the TAC cup and if so how he went. Definately looks to have the tools.

Addam Maric anyone??? just been delisted by Melbourne. Was an absolute gun at TAC cup level. Could pick him up in the PSD or with a late pick in the National Draft??? Only 21 next season... am i right in saying he is mates with Cotch?

That list from Emma has nothing to do with the actual clubs at each pick, it's more her top 15 power rankings, ie her top 15 players overall. I'd suggest with Batch, Houli, Connors still kicking around, picking up Morris, Lids and Dea etc, I doubt we'd be looking at Docherty.

big fan of taylor adams, he is a class act, will go very well at the next level, will slip in like he has been at AFL level for years.

but we cant draft another half back flanker, we need pure mids.

Isn't that what Adams is? Or was that a totally un-related comment? :p

Id be happy with Adams at 15 if he lasts. The more i think about it the more im confident we will get 2 very good footballers on our list next year.

Thats exactly what we need, We need to get more quality midfielders in the next 2 drafts.

We have Cotchin,Martin,Conca,Delidio Thats 5 quality mids, We Need another 5 that are alot better than what we have after this lot
Webberly,Nason, jackson,Tuck,White,Contin,Jakobi are gone or will be gone in the next 2 years.

MIDS,MIDS,MIDS

We need inside mids. tough little go getters! extractors! Tuck and Foley wont be around forever. We have a good assortment of class outside but looking forward, we will lack penetration in the clinches. Our midfield rotation has no depth beyond Martin, Cotchin, Foley and Tuck. Yes we can add Lids but thats when he actually gets in there. After that...its all economy class. Lets grab a couple of tough nuts at 15 and 26.

Anyone think we will take Crozier at 26 if available? First of all we need a half forward flanker. 2nd of all we need an x-factor forward because we dont have one. 3rd of all we need a quick outside mid. He can cover all of them and pick a ready-made player at 15. Note: I wouldn't take him if we only had one first rounder. Could end up that Daisy Thomas type if he works hard.

Ben Nason could have ended up Daisy Thomas like.

I probably don't know enough about him, but he is likely to need quite some time to develop. I know the likes of Thomas and Fyfe show skinny blokes can be fantastic, but I'd expect us to draft more solid types, given the option.

Adding 26 gives us a lot more flexibility with who we take first up for sure. I think we do need to add an inside mid of quality but I wouldn't reach for one at 15. I wouldn't mind a combination of crozier and waldhunter. Crozier will take time to fill out and we will be able to pick up a pure mid with our first rounder next year.

I agree, with 2 first rounders it wont matter if one doesnt play all of next year. If we have one playing that should keep the supporters happy. One inside one outside would be nice. I love the way Waldhuter goes about it but then realised he doesn't get the footy enough. He had a 4 possession game at champs. Grigg/Crozier would be a nice combo heading into next year as it seems that Grigg 3.4 20m wasn't his standard time and can get under 3.2 secs.
