1) The article you quoted did not say what moving up means. Moving up from pick 20 to pick 13?
2) We did not have Pick 2 when the article you quoted was published
3) Have you read the latest from the Eagles' website about 2025 draft?

Who do you believe? Your supporting club latest announcment or an old article which was not even talking about pick 1 or pick 2?
It was a direct response to the journalist asking if there was any interest in pick 1 or 2 (he was assuming, as were most, that we were getting pick 2 for Oscar). Moving up from 20 to 13 is not newsworthy

The article you refer to, contains this quote

No one has had a conversation with us or put something forward as to what that looks like.

Hes not saying no one has been in contact, he has said no one has had a conversation as to what the trade might look like

TDK is honestly a pretty low bar for a ruck. Saints are insane.
TDK has a poor win% in ruck contests, at 37.1 BUT he is 4th in the comp for hard ball gets for rucks, 2nd for metres gained(despite playing lower % of game time in the ruck compared to most #1 rucks at 64%), and 6th for disposals for a ruckman again despite having despite playing larger time forward, the rucks ahead of him are the Gawn/Xerri/Cameron/English types who do 75%+ time in the ruck.

Hes probably the prototype of what clubs will be looking for in a modern ruckman, and closer to what we expecet from CDT

They will give it a red hot crack, going to be very, very expensive to pry a top 5 pick off someone next year.
A bid at pick 1 is 3000 points no discount.

Needing to use 2 picks.
Pick 3 and 18
Pick 4 and 14
Pick 5 and 13
Pick 6 and 12
Pick 7 and 10
Pick 8 and 9

I can see the pick 7 10 or 8 9 but if either team makes finals and wins one it gets difficult.

I am speechless!
Sounds very romantic, making contact without conversation. 😂

Err no...I would think we'll be debating him for years, whether we draft him or not
The he's a unicorn crowd if he doesn't perform year 1 and 2 will absolutely trot out the 'ruckman take time to develop'. I could also see the argument made that he was the right pick but we didn't support him to develop getting a run. All up I think we can safely assume we have a decade of useless content /word vomit. Personally I cant wait.

Pick the guy who is consider 5-10 as number 1?

We argued this to no end during Reid's draft year.

With pick 1 (and by circumstance Pick 2 this year) just take the best option available. Don't try and be the smartest people in the room and get funky with selections. The 2 best prospects, take them no question.

If you take CDT and he turns into a bust, so be it. But if you don't take him and he turns out to be a revolutionary HOFer, well that's on us.

TDK is probably someone for AReid to aim for

Weak thinking to go against list strategy because what will people say?
How is that strategy going for Kangas?

We have pick 1 and 2.
One for the best available and 1 for needs

One of my favourite takes so far is the idea of making pick 2 more appealing to buyers by not taking the best player with said pick and then selling it off.

Yep that’ll do it.

Or you know we could just sell pick 1 instead.

Or even better yet just take the best talent with pick 1.

Some Absolute rocket science going on in these parts with the desperation to trade out off what is the strongest draft hand we have had in… checks notes… forever ?
