I must say I'm not thrilled with using pick 17 on an 18 year old who has done his ACL. Broken record I know, but he is a monster of a kid who hasn't been able to kick bags of goals.

At least we got a forward.

Meh. For once we pick a KPP with our first pick and I would have preferred them taking the mid in Acres!

A F#@$%^&*%^& RUCKMAN!! Fork me! The only thing we didn't need a ruckman who can swing forward

True enough, but he's being picked as a fwd I'm pretty sure. The mail around the place is that it looks like that will be his preferred position - gees I hope so anyway.

Apeness is a forward, not a ruckman.

I'm not his biggest fan, not sure he is all that different to Taberner. But he is strong above his head, and commands attention. Really came from nowhere at the start of the year, could easily be a lot of development to come. He was always going to go top 25, so at least it's not a reach or anything.

Avoiding meltdown... wanted Acres... was repeating the name with fingers crossed, but we went with Apeness. Hopefully the kid turns out to be more than a ruckman come forward. We've got enough of them.

Time to learn about more about Apeness. Welcome big fella.
