McGregor is 26.

I wouldn't be going for proven serviceable talls.

Your right. I just checked and he is 27 in January. But his body is falling apart already and he has struggled this year. He might have 2 years left at any sort of output before the soft tissue injuries overcome him.

Williams and Harris are quality KP options and Morris and Hargrave tallish options depending on week to week match ups.

I think that most times you need to give what you already have the chance to be serviceable. Wight, Doogs, Tiller and eventually O'Shea should be given that chance ahead of bring in McGregor type.

we don't want gia! but we would take hann or higgins

We don't or you don't?

Gia would be a nice fit at the Bombers.

Hahn is a required player, there are very few players if any like him on our list. If you want Higgins for Hille you would need a draft pick at the higher end or another player that would be of some use to us so in other words not Bolton who is no use to anyone.

Even if you did offer Hille and a high draft pick I'd probably say no to dealing Higgins as would most in here.

williams at CHF what are your thoughts

i think doogs is better down back and could take that CHB spot.

i think we should devlop tiller as a FF type player

we could even see O'shea come on next year, is he more a FB type of player where has he been playing for werribee

Talk of trading with Essendon is a bit premature given that the new coach may have his own ideas.

Also, couldn't see McMahon going anywhere but to SA.

As for Gia going, I HOPE ITS TRUE as the bloke has a pea heart:)
If there is any chance of McMahon being traded then in return we should enquire about Jay "Son of Merv" Neagle. Big KPP who takes a good grab - been in the system for a couple of years and would have been a 1st rd draft pick if not for his selection as a Father/Son by the Dons. Exactly what we need as he's still potentially got 10-12 years left in him.

I'd think Hille would more likely be a player swap. Essendon are after speed and we've got some of that.
THe only midfielder/s we would be interested in would be Cross and Griffin, and i can't really see them going anywhere. I'd like Griffin though, how bout Hille, Bradley and our 2nd rounder for him.

We don't need any more pace really, we've got younger guys coming through who should be getting a gig in the starting 22, we need inside player, or KP backs. Williams comes to mind. Thoughts?

Thanks for your enquiry...

Hille for Gia? What a joke. Gia had a bad season but surely he hasnt depleted this low.

Seriously guys.
Gia at his best would add maybe 5% to the team.

If Hille came in and became our No 1 ruckman and was playing at his best he'd easily add 10%+ to the team.

I'd do the trade in a heart beat.

Gia is a good player - but he's slow, kicks it 40metres max, and only comes to play once a month.

He would be a good fit for Essendon who need some leg speed at the back and a ball carrier. Might push him onto the wing as well..

We have Winderlich, Dempsey, Jetta, Dyson, Nash, Davey we don't need fast outside players at all. IMO it would be silly to give up anything for McMahon that is worth something.

You would think McMahon for Hille might be more like it. As for Johns? Well he can really only play FF and he can only take marks on the lead. He might be tall and built like Tarzan, but he cant take contested marks or bring the ball to ground. He actually plays likes Robbins. He might look imposing but its all on the lead and he needs space. So a Tiller would struggle to geta game if Johns was being played and might crowd Johnson a bit. He lacks any running power to play up the ground and looks really poor when tried down back.
That is a shocker. Hille for McMahon?!?! McMahon isn't worth a third round pick IMO whereas at the very least Essendon would be able to get a top 15 pick for Hille.

Why ins't Gia rated by you guys anymore?

what do people think of David Armitage should we go for him, he sounded good before the draft, as being an in and under player

would he be worth a punt what would it cost, and would he be even up for grabs

1st round pick who has been at his club for only 1 year. As Dale Kerrigan would say, 'tell him he's dreaming'.

yeah i couldnt think if he was picked up last year or the year before, didnt last to the dogs pick i would have been keen 2 pick him, the talk about being west like in the way he just finds the ball.

I think Johnno and Bobby are viable options as psudeo CHF's (both sharing the role as HF targets). However, they need a taller option that will allow them to roam outside 50. Tom Williams could be a 'CHF'/HF target but I think we need a power forward who uses FF as a default base more.

FB/BP. He was the 2nd youngest player taken from last year's draft. For an underage, late selection KP to warrant VFL senior selection in his first year is pretty impressive. I have heard big things about his courage and saw him take a massive hit and then come back on very soon afterwards, much to the astonishment of Werribee's medical staff.

My expectations of him next year are basically those of a typical first year, raw KP. If he makes it, it will be a great selection by Clayton.

They wanted Franklin so much that they didn't even have him on their pre-prepared draft list - at Pick 5 Buckenara had to take time to find Lance's name on the alphabetical list of every player who nominated, and proceeded to read out the number of LUKE Franklin, a 20 year old nobody from Perth before being put straight by someone else at the table.

The idea that getting both Roughead and Franklin was some kind of "master plan" is complete and utter bullshit.

they have managed him pretty well for a side that wasnt prepared to draft him.

With the improvement of Williams, McDougall and Everitt this year could we look at moving Harris to the forwardline to fill this role?
