i can see trade week being a fizzer like always.

Yep. I reckon it'll be just like last year. Very little will happen (if anything) until a deal for Judd can be worked out, then the necessary trades to make it happen will go through and after that there might be 1 or 2 trades.

So I'm tipping outside the Judd deal there will be just 3 trades.

Thats the prob GD, Ben Reid, Tim Boyle etc, their fathers didnt play enough games for us.
I think Ben Reid would've been a father/son under the old rule of 50 games, but since it has increased to 100, we missed out...

Question is, with this talk of Robbo being offered 3 years at the dogs. Are Melbourne hoping they can organise a package of getting pick 5 from us, then giving WCE 4&5 for Judd? He supported Melbourne as a kid...

There's talk of Robbo & Bruce for 5, but I'd be reluctant on that as they're both on the old side.

If the club really wanted Robbo, who else would warrant giving the Dees our first pick? And let's be honest we'd rather help out Melbourne than Collingwood or Carlton, am I right?

Then we have picks 5 and 12, Wood and Reid. And only lose Gia, Jordy and Eagleton. By doing this we will not figure in the Judd deal unless Collinwood trades Pick 8 and a few young stars to get Judd. We need to focus on our own lists development, and not how good the teams around us are. If the Dogs are made to be the best team in the league it does not matter how good the other teams are. If we are good enough we will win.

Yes imagine trading for 4 recycled players that we will probably pay over the odds for, most likely will be under performed and lose the chance to draft good young players. I can't remember the last time we did that!

last time i checked fev is one of the best full forwards and i see no reason why he won't perform for us. hudson is a proven ruckman and robbo just kicked 42 goals in 15 games. but yes they are all duds i guess.

Who said they are all duds? Why would you want 4 recycled players in 1 trade period when the last time we did that that it put us in the position we are now.

BTW It would it easier to read if tried using capitals.
