On the Essendon board they are debating trading Hille, I asked about a tall such as he or Johns to dogs, and here's an interesting response:

I reckon Kepler Bradley could be a very handy forward with the dogs. His mobile and has a big motor but there is just no room for him in our forward line. Does really well in the 2nds but when we promote him he is played in the backline. He could really relish a move to a club like the dogs.

Bradley looks all over the place when he's played senior footy in the last couple of years, but if this guy's on the ball there might be room to mould him into our side. He seems to have the ingredients of a good athlete but hasn't worked for him...yet. Thoughts.

What price would we be expected to play? Is Kosi the answer up forward? I haven't seen enough of him this year.

My opinion is changing a fair bit. The problems are clearly in our center. I mean we have no idea about Tiller because he wasn't given a fair chance at all yesterday. Our center doesn't push back hard enough, they don't hit targets and they are embarrassingly unaccountable for an opponent let along their direct opponent. We could sit Kosi/Fevola at full forward and nothing would change. Hodge would still kick 6.2 and have 34 touches and our forwards would just rot away.

kosi wouldnt be cheap...it would most likely cost us our first pick and a player like higgins. No way would i do that.

He would be handy though.

IF farren wanted to go back to perth, would freo be interested in a trade where we give them farren and our 2nd rounder for their FIRST pick?

That would give us 2 picks in the top 10.

Get one of these types as well as HAHN and MORRIS in the MIDFIELD and it would go along way.

Should Fev go to the weagles we should consider Q-Lynch. He is only a class level or so down on Fev and his ground work has improved considerably.

As far as Farren Ray wanting a longer contract. Its what his agent is spouting around. Freo would be willing to offer it to him. I still expect a Murphy/Ray trade to be done but things might change with Harvey now in charge

A tough inside player who could slot straight into your midfield is J.Kelly. Hes only 23, played over 100 games. Could add a bit of hardness??? or could be great trade bait for Fev???

Gain a hardnose quality midfielder, a big mature body who could hold down CHF and give a contest and still take a first rounder???

Scrap Playfair from the deal. He might be a handy 6th string tall forward, but we need a main target. I don't have his stats this year. But last year he played 12 VFL games and kicked 12 goals. Pretty poor effort. I know he's had better year this year, but we are after real quality or we might as well take a stab at an 18 year old in the draft. Kelly is an interesting one, having a good season, holding his spot. Unlike last year when he struggled, maybe he is looking good in a team performing well? Last year Giansiracusa could have been traded for a top 10 pick, this year we'd be lucky to get a 2nd rounder. I don't think Trades like this will help us. We need stars. Sounds over the top, but recruiting hand me downs isn't going to help us win a flag. Considering we are maybe looking longer term now.
