Would you be interested in Kenny McGregor?
Not unless he comes packaged with your first round draft pick.

Like other clubs give away good players for nothingDuring trade week pick up the best KPF available, and a solid tough inside midfielder
Then with our first two picks (which may not be the ones we began with) pick the best available KPF and the best available tough inside midfielder
Won a spot in the AIS squad.
He's also in the Australian U19 basketball squad so there's no guarantee he'll even choose to play footy.
He's 205cm and 70kgs! I wouldn't be penciling him in as first ruck anytime soon.

We get good trades cheap and keep high draft picks.
You can't have it both ways.
Yes they do!Nothing in my comment mentions how high the draft picks are...

Perhaps, if Jordan McMahon does want to go back, but McGregor on his own wouldn't cut it.
A simply no would have been sufficient. No need to be rude and insulting.
Don't scoff at me for this but a 3/4th round pick for Daniel Bradshaw? He'll be fresh and have a couple of years at filling a gap
Hey everyone i'm a long time bulldog supporter and follow then religiously.
I'm a long time big footy reader, first time blogger.
I also think that we should be going for the best instead of a quick fix in Shultz or McGregor like we tried with Rawlings, Doogs or even back to Minton-Connell.
And i also think that McMahon has to go he just shits me too much.
Cheers
Welcome. I have seen many attempted quick fixes in the KP department.
Bandy. (Could have had Hansen)
Jackovich (Could have had Hall)
Cook
M-Connell
McDougall
Phillipou
Rance
Parke
If the club is serious about landing a big fish,be fair dinkum and go after a big fish, i.e Kosi,Hansen and trade away, first pick and gun youngster otherwise draft talls and hope one or two step up like Everitt and Williams.
You'd be talking about this thread on the Richmond board:Having said that would Shultz be a good pick up? Played only 50% of the Essendon match and took 5 marks. I read on the Richmond board that he is a player that thrives on confidence so if we get that up he could provide a target down there until the new KPP are ready. Am i right in saying hes comming back from a big knee? That might have something to do with his confidence levels.

There are some wildly conflicting opinions from Richmond supporters on this guy's worth, ranging from useless to future star FF of the AFL. The truth would lie somewhere in between.
I thought I was the only Dogs supporter on this forum who considered Schulz worth picking up. The key to smart trading is to get a player when they are at their lowest value. McDougall is a case in point. We looked at him 12 months before we got him, at a time when WC were expecting nothing less than a first-rounder. Come 12 months later, we virtually got him for nothing. He hasn't yet delivered on his potential but it represents smart trading.
Schulz is currently at that value. If he is not traded and has a strong season in 2008, his worth will skyrocket once again - he is only 22yo.
If you want value in excess of outlay, Schulz as a key forward and Jared Moore from Sydney as a grunt midfielder will offer such value.
Any talk centering on Fev or Charman is wasted talk. Demand far outweights supply, which leaves Carlton and Brisbane in the box seat. They will rightly expect the Earth and then some. I mentioned on another thread that if guys like Ted Richards and Darren Jolley can command first round picks, after having very average careers to that point, the sky is the limit for the likes of Fev and Charman. Bradshaw for a 3rd rounder? Please. He is a decorated premiership player. Brisbane won't give him up for anything less than a first-rounder, knee or otherwise. Not too many high profile trades work out well for the new team, and they have invariably paid over the odds because demand outweighs supply. Look no further than Rawlings - he had multiple suitors, so whichever team ended up getting him was always going to pay well over the odds. Unfortunately it was us on that occasion. The same will happen with Fev and especially Charman. There are 5 clubs with awful ruck divisions, all desperate for someone like Charman. It will be a Rawlings-like feeding frenzy.

I don't think this is in Williams fifth season. I may be wrong but I don't think so. At least Tom had a preseason game in which he looked good. Walsh has never looked any good.
I've seen enough of Walsh at trainining and intra-clubs to be convinced he can play the game. He's improved each year he's been on the list and he'd had a fairly good preseason last year before his knee injury and was finally looking fit and strong.
We've put a heap of investment into this guy and injuries allowing his body is physically mature enough to make an impact next year. The lesson of Tiller's and William's 'sudden' impact at senior level is that we have to hold our nerve rather than continualy chasing quick fixes and projects that cant see properly/dont particularly like footy etc etc.
De-list Tim now and he might just end up at another club playing good footy through the PSD or ND and no club in their right mind are going to trade squat for him. Our best option is to get another preseason into him, treat him for his hamstring and get them stronger and see how he goes next year with (hopefully) less injury problems. If he shows nothing in footy terms next year delist him then.
i was just on the draft borad and got these two reports on the top kpp and ruck picks can we get both McEvoy at 4 and Henderson at 22?
McMahon has requested to be traded to a Sth Aust club to be with his G/F and child. Let the bidding begin!
