McEvoy has been in very good form and could come into calculation
Despite the fact that it may be traded, does anyone have any thoughts on who we will draft with this pick?
Lachlan Henderson seems to be thrown up a fair bit as a potential pick for us. Does anyone know much about him?
Players we need to chase:
Darren Jolly - Possibly
Ashley Hansen - Wont be available
Brendan Fevola - Might be a target
Mark Blake - The Cats won't be letting him go without a huge return
Jarryd Roughead - Little to no chance to be available
Cameron Wood - Possible target
there are many more. I listed these guys because they are theoretically gettable.
Ashley Hansen is the one i really want though. I would trade, anyone of my above listed players, and a first round draft pick for him.
Thoughts?
Just my thoughts on a few options.
The easy ones:
Baird- Delist
Faulkner- Delist
D-Mac- Delist
Walsh Delist
(Street- MAYBE DELIST) we have no other established ruckmen though.
don't think there are too many arguments there. Along with Darcy & Robbins, i'd say those guys would make up our mandatory list changes.
Trade:
The following players are all logically, given the right deal tradeable. I'm not suggesting it should be the case for all of them, but i would be surprised if a few weren't.
Gia
Hahn
McMahon
Skipper
Ray
Power
These guys could all be involved in trades to lure key position players and ruckmen. Areas that we severely lack.

unlike many doggie fans i think gia will be our next captain, so shouldn't be traded and he will be fitter and better next yearJust my thoughts on a few options.

Can play as a forward and as a ruckman but might be better suited to a key forward.
I know nothing, but draft thread I read says a bit slow - not really great for a key forward, if true.
geez, I want a tall that has footy nouse - the difference between an everitt and a williams, even though they are both athletic and mobile.
No he moves well. mjp saw him first hand yesterday and can elaborate
Hey Guys,
I agree with the Ashley hansen suggestion,
talk is from one of the retired bulldogs players who played golf on the weekend with one of my work collegues.
That Hansen wants to come home
and Ray wants to go home
Talk is West Coast would ask for Ray and a 2nd or 3rd round pick
what do you guys think?
After watching him yesterday play exclusively as a key forward, if I had the first pick - let alone the 5th pick - I would be thinking long and hard about what to do. I (and I understand I am in the minority) am not convinced Kreuzer will be a dominant AFL ruckman - as a forward (and he can play there) I am not sure he will be better than McEvoy who showed good pace and agility...as well as good hands and the ability to kick it very straight.
Much more impressed than I was at carnival time or when I saw him earlier this year.

So in your opinion are we better off taking McEvoy knowing he can ruck a bit than going with Henderson who everyone thinks will fit what we need. Is it fair to say that McEvoy has gone passed him since he has been played predominantly forward. How do these two compare?? cheers for your thoughts
Do you think McEvoy will last til pick #5? Is he Clayton's style?
Richmond need a ruck, but not really a KPP - Richo (ok, old) Polak, Reidwolt, Hughes... they have a few.Would have thought Richmond and Melbourne would both be interested. Carlton you would assume will take Kruezer and a mid. But both Tiges and Dees need KPP and rucks...
