fu** aren't we screwed i can see us taking DGB

Rumour is the want to trade up
I doubt he lasts past Hawthorne.

I just hope we are not hunting for a quick fix. I want to get back to long-term success.

Honestly Freo are one of the very few clubs that have no outstanding needs except more experience. Maybe a winger but they can just go best available.
A young developing key forward for 2-3 years time would be handy.

Taberner is 28 next year, and it sounds like they are keen on moving on from Hogan (and have done so from McCarthy).

That leaves Lobb, who is better in the ruck and Cox, who was being played as a defender late last year and was a defender at u18 level.

Yeah that's a fair call. Can definitely see them taking Cox or Baldwin early.

I thought northern knights was the new name for bendigo thanks for that

My ideal 1 2 would be hin and Reid
Umm. The Knights have been around from the outset and Bendigo Pioneers are still around.

Taking cox and Reid would be ridiculous when brand and most likely Eyre are coming in.

We have no Talls so this would set us up

Keys Cox Reid Eyre Brand Ridley Jones Francis and Zerk

Grab Constable and OHalloran

With the expected outs for me (Bellcho, Daniher, Fantasia, Begley, Mutch, Townsend, Gown, Guelfi trade?, Saad, McKernan, McKenna, Hibberd) and a few possible ins (Wright, O'Halloran) if we somehow had lists the same size I'd be looking at getting:

1x Key Defender
2x Small Defenders/Half Backs
3x Inside Midfielders
1x Outside Midfielder
2x Key Forwards
1x Small Forward

Other than that though, their list doesnt want for much in terms of young talent.

The next few years are consolidating their list and cherry picking the right senior role players to protect their younger players whilst not being too big of a name to stifle development opportunitues (i.e Conca, Aish, Colyer)

Apparently Pickett might move there.

Northern Knights/Vic Metro | Key Position Defender/Utility
15/01/2002 | 199cm | 82kg

A 199cm player who can run, kick on both sides, and play just about anywhere? It sounds too good to be true, but that is exactly what Cox brings to the table as his region’s most outstanding draft candidate. Cox cut his teeth as a tall wingman and key position swingman in 2019, juggling his time between school football, 10 NAB League outings, and a berth in the Under 18 Vic Metro squad as a bottom-ager. In 2020, the Northern Knights co-captain was set to develop as a centre-half back, with his athleticism and versatility in the role lending to the fact he has an enormous ceiling. He was also set to be a prime candidate to lead Vic Metro this year, lauded for his professionalism and the example he sets via training standards.

He sounds perfect
