Depend where they end up on the ladder. I think it’s more likely they grab Grainger-Barras if they finish near the bottom, at this stage grabbing Trew or O’driscoll in the top 5 would be a reach.Surely Freo take either him or Trew with their first pick?
I wouldn't have thought key defence would be a priority, plus I can see Sydney taking DGB at pick 2 or 3 if they stay around that mark. Hell, Norf would be silly not to go a KPP and a mid with their picks.Depend where they end up on the ladder. We should definitely bid on reef if he’s still on the board. Nathan O’driscoll is another one we could definitely look at.
Why wouldn’t it be,Pearce is never on the park and DGB is a local boy.I wouldn't have thought key defence would be a priority, plus I can see Sydney taking DGB at pick 2 or 3 if they stay around that mark. Hell, Norf would be silly not to go a KPP and a mid with their picks.

They were playing Duman as a fullback last week. They need more key position defenders and DGB is apparently cant miss.I wouldn't have thought key defence would be a priority, plus I can see Sydney taking DGB at pick 2 or 3 if they stay around that mark. Like Duman is nothing special but he isn't exactly terrible either. A defensive grouping of Hamling, Pearce, Logue, Ryan, Wilson, Young and Hill is pretty good for the short term, and the only old player there is Hill. After that, Ethan Hughes has shown to be reasonably solid and Duman/Cox as more than handy back ups for the key defensive posts. I think they'd be better off adding more midfield depth at this point. They were playing Duman as a fullback last week. They need more key position defenders and DGB is apparently cant miss.
A backline consisting of the below would be salivating.
Ryan Grainger-Barass Logue
Wilson Pearce Young
Logue and Pearce are both injury prone and spend a lot more time off the field than on it. They spent 2 top 5 picks on midfielders only only a couple of years ago and got serong last year top 10. So a young midfield group of Tucker, Brayshaw, Cerra and Serong is plenty to work with atm. You can always add midfields down the track as they don’t take as long to develop, key defenders take 4-5 years.Like Duman is nothing special but he isn't exactly terrible either. Either way, if they end up with pick 5 I don't see Grainger-Barrass sliding to them, especially if Norf have two top 4 picks given their key defensive stocks are made up of a 31 year old Tarrant, Josh Walker, an injury prone Majak Daw, a 22 year old who has 4 games in as many years on the list and a 24 year old who's struggling to get games in a 2-4 side.Logue and Pearce are both injury prone and spend a lot more time off the field than on it. North will win a few games once they get larkey, cunnington, Ziebell back. I’d back them to finish above freo. But I do agree their back men stocks need serious work. I can see them zeroing in on nik Cox, helps that he’s a northern suburbs boy aswell.Either way, if they end up with pick 5 I don't see Grainger-Barrass sliding to them, especially if Norf have two top 4 picks given their key defensive stocks are made up of a 31 year old Tarrant, Josh Walker, an injury prone Majak Daw, a 22 year old who has 4 games in as many years on the list and a 24 year old who's struggling to get games in a 2-4 side.
I wouldn't. Their list is putrid, and the remaining 11 sides they have are Adelaide (should win), Brisbane (likely loss), Carlton (50/50 but I'd back Carlton on current form), Collingwood (likely loss), Freo (50/50 if away from Perth), Geelong (likely loss), Gold Coast (50/50), Melbourne (50/50 on current form), Port (likely loss), Richmond (likely loss), West Coast (likely loss)North will win a few games once they get larkey, cunnington, Ziebell back. What is up with Larkey, he's not on the injured list.North will win a few games once they get larkey, cunnington, Ziebell back. I’d back them to finish above freo. He played in the scratch match against us last week, im presuming he'll be back in next week. What is up with Larkey, he's not on the injured list.
Someone ruffled his hair. What is up with Larkey, he's not on the injured list.
Was Hooker sitting behind him on the plane?Someone ruffled his hair.
I am way out of the loop as far as this years draft right now.foj1 you mentioned in the autopsy thread were likely to draft Eyre and Brand. We do still have our first and whilst we miss a large portion of the middle of the draft, surely we can offload some talent to get back into the crucial second/third rounds?
Any kids you or ant555 liked last year likely available at our first (live) pick?

Not a bad kid to look at if we lose Joe
Its a tough one, i rate Hollands as a forward moreso than a mid at this stage and he is coming of an ACL. A potential Rozee type and a match winner. Trew and O’Driscoll are very hard to split as they have their pros and cons and i think I’d take O’Driscoll at this stage as he is the better athlete and has more upside to go with the runs on the board he has also had the last few years. He looks solid!
Who would be your pick out of Trew, O’Driscoll or Hollands?

I’d hope that we bid on Reef if he’s available at our pick.I would take the lesser player if it meant we are getting a genuine midfielder. O'Driscoll sounds like our guy in the 5 - 12 draft pick we're likely to have.
