I think we look to trade one pick with Collingwood for 16 and a future first (maybe a handshake deal not to bid on McInnes too)

Then on draft night if we can use pick 16 and pick 6 to trade up for pick 2 then I'd be pretty happy with that. We essentially keep 4 first rounders over the next 2 years and have a young key forward to pair with Jones and can maybe draft O'Driscoll too to pair with him.

Further to this I know eDPS has talked up Kaine Bladwin so perhaps we keep 6 and 7 and maybe use those on Perkins/O'Driscoll and Cox/Reid and pick up Bladwin with pick 16.

Three top players and another 2 next year is perfect for we're we are at as a club, throw in a potential play at another FA with our cap space and we're set up nicely IMO

eDPS You're Adrian. You have the keys to our draft and trading. What picks do you trade if any, and who do you draft with them?
I would look to trade atleast 1 of those first rounders for a future first rounder. If we keep 2 high picks then I would go a tall and then best available and if we can try and target an inside mid as best available we should do that

Agree with this. Who would be your preference for inside mid? Is it O'Driscoll or Perkins or someone else?

That’s too many picks to use in this years draft, list sizes make taking even 3 first rounders this year pretty difficult

O’Driscoll but not by much, the fact he is a proven mid sways me a bit and getting to play a full year aswell.

delist more? not like we don't have the candidates.
We don’t have many uncontracted players to delist and the likes of Stewart and Laverde shouldn’t be moved on with Daniher gone

I doubt anyone barring Townsend will be delisted at this point in time.
Does anyone know exactly how many list spots we have. Assume as it stands we're drafting 5 players in? Do we look to trade for futures just because of this?

We currently have 4 list spots available.

Any possibility of 6+7 for 2 and norfs next year second, 8 and next years 3rd for 16 and collingwoods next year first?
Take McDonald, O'Driscoll good mates and both fill a need for us. Brand and eyre as academy.

If they really want 7 and 8 we shouldn’t have to give up 2 3rds, they will be coming to us remember
they'd only get 8.
but to eDPS' point, it leaves us with too many picks.

I reckon if we have another dip;
8 & future. 3rds for pies 1st & 16
Our future 1st, Pies future 1st -> Dunkley, future 2nd x2 (30 & 32)

Gives the dogs a good chance of a couple of strong 1st rounders
We get a known, needed quantity and a decent late presence in a deep draft.

2020
6, 7 & 16 + academy kids
2021
25, 30, 32, etc.

Yeah I’m not saying we won’t trade one, I’m saying we shouldn’t have to give up 2 3rds.

Pies probably thinking their 1st is volatile now. And would want some make up points for Daicos
I'd want a 2nd or 2 back from Dunkley

So all up - we give up 2x 1sts, 2x 3rds
get Dunkley, 1x 1st, 2x 2nds.

Usually not for this draft, got reported yesterday 1 year only you don’t.

Wasn't it that they didn't have to have them relative to the down-sized list spots, that it would be as though the normal list size had been in place? Same as the temporary reduction in number of players required to be taken.
