Well thats what needs to be done unfortunately?
Yeah you have to project with some guys, if he was doing that last year where would he have ended up. As a guy who played full time for falcons (non aps) I think he would’ve lit up the comp and dominated the whole year. Also have remember he was in a bad side last year and with anti density rules, there would’ve been a lot of times where he couldn’t get involved in the play.

Seems to be a consensus that with 2 of our picks it will be a combo of Perkins/Phillips and Cox/Reid.
Our final pick has so many options:
* Both the talls Cox/Reid
* Oliver Henry
* Reef McInnes bid understanding that if we really want him we bid with 6
* Trade with pies for 14 or 16 and future 1st with options then including O'Driscoll, Poulter, Jack Carroll, Bruhn (slider)
So many options with final pick!!

andleanback
Id be taking Henry before Bruhn for certain I just don't see him being better then Perkins, who knows he could have moved inside this year and destroyed teams

I would be going pick

A slider outside the 5
Bid on Jones
Perkins
Bid on Campbell
Cox
Bid on McInnes
Reid
Trade a pick back
Henry

My preference order

If we ended up with a haul of Perkins, Cox and snared a trade back with Collingwood and took O'Driscoll, that would be ideal

This would be my ideal scenario too, I think trading back with Collingwood may not come until pick 8 is about to be selected.

To be honest i think we have more chance with GWS in giving up pick 10 + 44 for 18+23+52 (What they will be at time)

I cant see why Collingwood would accept pick 10 for pick 18 + Future 1st (Likely to be around 10) wed need to chuck in a future 2nd aswell id say

Edit: Just seen 52 has been traded as i predicted earlier

Really doubt Collingwood will trade their future first this draft, they'll be better off just trading it during next year's trade period, especially if next season is a disaster.

I think Collingwood do it, it would result in them getting Reid and stop a bid on McInnes knocking out their first pick (most likely anyway) plus their future first is getting eaten up by Daicos anyway, we may give them late future picks to help with the Daicos bid.

The way Perkins is trending reminds of 2015 when Oliver rose up draft boards late and it looked like we would get him only to see him rise too high and go a pick before us.

So in saying that it should be good to see Perkins now go top 5 and turn in to an absolute gun.

How does it stop a bid?

Thats why a F2 would need to be involved

As much as it will be eaten up by Daicos. They wont have it by the time Daicos name is read out. They could do much better in a trade for it i feel

By stopping us from bidding on McInnes which I would say would be a handshake sort of deal as part of the trade. I think we're probably the only ones looking at bidding on him prior to their first pick.

Nah, GWS, North and Freo would all be willing to do it

No clue. But they'd consider it
Yeah right from bits and pieces that I've seen it seemed like we were probably most keen but that also seems like potentially a bit of posturing to put pressure on Pies to do some sort of trade.

If Perkins is gone then I think a bid at 6 is actually a decent move by us.

I think the bid will be at 8 tell Collingwood trade and grab Reid and we will grab Driscoll or someone

Then take Cox perkins Driscoll

Loose 8 and two thirds next year gain a first this year and next and a third this year

He likes to be out there KM, Callow before cox or Reid is bizarre to say the least.

He argued for a long time that Gown was better than Tarryn Thomas.

I would take McInnes but only just, preferably get both! McInnes could have had a huge year playing mostly midfield and his numbers when he got to play pure mid last year where seriously impressive.

If we bid at 6 I don’t think they will match
Well if all the top 5 are gone, I wouldn't mind getting McInnes at 6, Perkins at 7 and Cox at 8.
He's an Essendon supporter as well so that's a bonus I guess. Would fit our side perfectly.

How is his endurance like? Can he be a full-time mid within 2 years?

If Perkins isn’t available at 6 why not just tell Collingwood we’re going to bid on McInnes at 6 instead unless they trade our pick 8 for something like 18 and their 2021 first round pick? No point being nice about it.
