Yep, I was almost going to comment that the other night. If I could take 1 player from any other club, itd be Berry.
I’d look at the same club and go Deven Robertson. A midfield with him and McGrath would go along way into making our midfield somewhat accountable, two players that can lift a side in the most important part of the ground.

Yep would love Robertson, he’s accountable as a player and also an excellent leader who thrives on competition. The more of those types we get in the better.

I can't believe this question is being asked but who could be a HBF available at our first pick eDPS ?

If Saad goes, McKenna already gone, getting a high level half back flanker would be great.
Yep pretty much what andleanback said he is likely the best but we won’t get him. Next year has some quality but there are a few players I wouldn’t mind looking at later in the draft for this year

Xavier Robins 182cm DR:45-Late
Zac Meloncelli 184cm DR:45-Late
Malachy Carruthers 183cm DR: 45-Late
Clayton Gay 183cm (Dual position) DR: 40-Late
Joshua Clarke 180cm DR: 40- Late
Bailey Laurie 178cm (Dual position) DR: 20-50
Zac Dumesny 187cm (Dual position) DR: 20-50)
Luke Cleary 189cm DR: 30-Late
Lachlan Carrigan 189cm (Dual position) DR: 25-50
Isiah Winder 180cm (Dual position) DR: 30-Late
Charlie Ham 181cm DR: 40-Late

Not many are speedy types, in terms of mature age players there are Mitch Duval and Jacob Wehr playing SANFL

Potential cheap trade targets/DFA I would look for are Matthew Ling and Riley Stoddart from Sydney. They have had some injury concerns but have speed to burn and still young.

I watched West Adelaide vs WWT tonight.

In terms of reading the ball in the air Duval just has IT. If he is in the pack he is in position 1A to mark it.

Wehr showed some pace and a nice evasive step. Good tackling too, stopped a couple of promising plays from West Adelaide with a solid tackle.

Thoughts on James Rowe?

His ability to hit the perfect crumbing spot at full pace is exceptional. Very good finishing and goal-sense too.

His pace is probably only slightly above average. However, at the contest when others are trying to read the spill, he has gathered and is in goal scoring position already. A couple of his goals tonight were exceptional.

The combination of his footspeed not being exceptional along with his height means that he needs his crumbing game to translate really well to make it.

I think the best strategy for him is to rookie list him and start him on the ground in all preseason games. Maybe it just clicks for him, maybe he gets found out.

His photo on the SANFL website isn't flattering at all either.

I remember grade 3 photo day. I have definitely seen that look before.
The jumper doesn't look very form fitting, shall we say. But if he's quick and kicks goals, what does that matter?

I am editing together the highlight packages of SANFL prospects. I will definitely do one for Rowe.
Someone who has as many goals as he does in the last 2 years should be monties to be drafted as a small forward

It will be interesting to see how he goes in the finals series. The SANFL teams at the top are quite strong this year. South Adelaide and WWT look really strong with the addition of VFL players. Lowson and Tsitas take WWT to a very high level for a state-league team.

Lowson is a jet, Tsitas playing the Mr Fix it role I assume?

Okay, we have pick 6, at best pick 5.

Draft gurus - Realistically who do we take? & which 2 do we take if we end up with a second first for losing Daniher/Saad?
