Surely we deal 6 to Geelong for their two firsts and compel Carlton to hand 7 over?
Nah, we'd have to give a first back anyway.

It will be an interesting discussion and its hard to say how next years talls will develop aswell. Van Rooyen had a very good end to this year and we haven’t seen any of the vic talls develop this year. I would hope we also look at picking who we think will be an elite talent. Hell I wouldn’t scoff at Oliver Henry despite not fitting the mid or KPP category. I think he can become an elite rebound defender in the Sicily mould.
I’d love for us to end up with one of Perkins/Carroll/cook. If we have multiple picks early I think we are a moral to take either Reid or Cox aswell.

Pick 7 for Daniher (Becomes 9)
Pick 8 for Saad (Becomes 10 after Daniher, B.Crouch, JUH)
Pick 30 for Fantasia (Becomes 33)

Picks 8,9,10,33,41,69,79

Pick 8 for pick 15 + 36 (Cats)

(Dogs) pick 17 for 33,36,69 (more points for JUH)

Outcome:
Picks 9,10,15,17,41,79

Pick 9+10 and lots of $$ to Melbourne for C.Oliver

Pick 41 to GC Suns for P.Wright

Hurley for O'Halloran

C.Cox DFA from Brisbane

Picks:
15 - B.Cook
17 - A.Perkins/Z.Trew/N.Odriscoll (In Order)
C.Brand

eDPS thoughts on those picks. Really really want Cook and feel we can almost play him on the wing next year or across half back in an introduction to AFL.

I think crows will pounce with pick 8 (Becomes 11)

B.Ham - BZT - Francis
Ridley - Ambrose - Heppell (Redman)
Langford - C.Oliver - D.Shiel (B.Cook*)
Snelling - J.Stewart - D.Smith
Tippa - P.Wright - Stringer (Laverde)
Draper - Z.Merrett - A.Mcgrath (Parish)

Depth: Gleeson, Guelfi, Hallorahan, Z.Trew, Hooker, H.Jones, C.Cox (DFA), A.Phillips

I’m not sure I’d do a lot of those deals, also not sure Brayden Cook will be the type we go for in the draft. Think Truck won’t want to target flashy players like Cook and will opt for the likes of O’Driscoll to come in instantly and play an unselfish brand of footy

Any thoughts on Jackson Callow? Is he NGA for anyone? Might be worth looking at him if we have pick 15-20 ( Geelong trade ?)

He seems to be a good size at 195cm and 93kg, and is KPF.

I like Callow in the 30-50 range. Not the best athlete but a terrific mark and has shown good versatility to his game this year.

I thought he was more 20-30. There you go.

With Frawley retiring, do Hawks take DGB?

While I'd certainly look at DGB, I hope Hawthorn take him if that means one less club that might take Hollands.....

I here Nathan O'Driscoll tested really well at the WA combine. Speed and endurance numbers very good.

Essendon - pick 6 - player number ######### Nathan Driscoll Perth Football Club.

Shifter on Josh Eyre.

Josh Eyre

Calder Cannons, NAB League / Kilmore FC
Height: 197cm
Weight: 85kg
24/10/02

Tall forward who showed exciting potential in eight matches in the NAB League last year particularly against the Dandenong Stingrays in a final kicking two goals from his 11 disposals. One touch overhead and a good user by foot he is an elite endurance athlete who is capable of repeat efforts as a marking target up forward. Tied to Essendon under the AFL’s Next Generation Academy rules.

What we get for Joe will not be top 10 either. Will have to settle for end of first round compo or work out a trade. Two picks inside the top 10 will be down to getting Carltons first round pick.

The elite endurance is a weird one, he didn’t test good for it at all in the pre-season.

Not sure. Maybe he has had good testing in the past. Maybe we gave him a quiet run during pre season to keep his value down :p

Lore apparently our 42 has become 41 due to Port's deficit.
Yes I know. I posted about it in the draft order thread on the DTFA, I haven't applied deficits in my draft order unless the club is out of finals. If Port bomb out their pick will start higher and won't slide as far as a result. In the mean time I end up with 6-7 picks that no longer update themselves through the various sheets running in the background, so it's a giant pain in the arse.

But yes, the deficit will be applied to Port's own second round pick, not the ones they traded in from elsewhere.

Hamstring injury in pre season that was set to hamper his early rounds of the season
Yep I have a feeling it effected all his results at the pre-season testing as he did rather poorly in all of them.

apparently he had some phenomenal results last year. Big appeal is how athletic he was/is. Has grown from 193cm pre 2019 to 197cm post 2020. Doesn't sound like much but is geniuinely KPF height and not a mid sized tweener.

Yet to turn 18 he could be taller than 197 now aswell
