Not unless North bid at pick 2.

I would of thought are snapping McDonald right up.

My thought is :
Adelaide: Thilthorp
Norf: McDonald
Sydney: Campbell
Dawks: DGB
Suns: Hollands/Phillips

Obviously dog's take JUH and we take who's left from who Suns don't pick.

Can't Sydney take someone else then match the bid on Campbell whenever it comes?

They might bid on JUH just to keep doggies interested.

Would think North bid on JUH at 2 pretty safely, probably won't bid on Campbell which means Sydney can grab Hollands or DGB or someone, then grab Campbell when someone else bids.

Massive win for the Swans, in a draft that really has 6 standout names, they've got a lock on one of them, and a top-3 selection so will likely end up with two. Handy year to be bottom 4 for them.

Swans will get a pick in before a Campbell bid methinks.
Expect them to have 3, then match the bid that comes right after that pick.

With the Crouch news, worst our picks can become now are 8, 9 and likely 10
1-Thilthorpe (crows)
2-JUH (dogs match roos bid)
3-McDonald (Roos)
4-Hollands (Swans)
5-Campbell (Swans match Hawks bid)
6-Phillips (Hawks)
7-DGB (Suns or whoever gets this pick from them)

From there, feel like it's an entirely separate draft with a lot of unknowns
Much of what happens in terms of trade acquisitions will likely determine how we approach this.
Whether it's bolstering the midfield, looking at a KPP early with Brand/Eyre in mind (Cox, Reid) or even split one pick with the Lions or GWS for a couple of later ones (shame AFL doesn't allow for player trading on draft night)

I actually hope North bid on Campbell then take McDonald.

This seems very true, seems like everyone outside of those top 6 or so have question marks over them.

Will be interesting to see where things end up, this really would be a draft where clubs boards differ dramatically whereas it seems usually the first round is pretty close to what the regular draft watchers think it'll be.

so many scenarios in my mind
Do we get Dunkley. If we do, how much midfield depth do we still need
How do we view Cox as an athletic tall/Point of Difference
Bruhn & Perkins look classy in their highlights.
Reid to add to Zerk & Brand (think Eyre is a swingman too). Our KPD stocks don't look good....though neither do our KPFs
So does Baldwin come into calculation.

If we get Dunkley, do we still hold 3 picks?

Or do we use the hand to try for a tilt sooner (i.e slide back or move some out and land Dunkley & Stephenson?)

AAlright draft gurus, I want your perfect draft scenario for this draft situation

Pick 7, Pick 14 & pick 30
Cox/Reid 7 Driscoll 14 Callow 30

This will mean our tall defenders are done for 10 years, Forwards are as well, and a bigger mid

If Essendon land all of Caldwell, Wright, Dunkley x2, Constable and possibly Bonner or Witherden, I’d be happy.
That's a lot players for one trade period, how often do more than 3 players get traded into one club? I would be happy with getting Caldwell/Dunkley and maybe one other cheap player to fill a hole on the list.

I think Bonner may well be part of the Raz deal. Bonner and future first for Raz and future second.

St Kilda did 6 (including 1 as FA) last year, Brisbane did 4 (1 as FA) in 2018, Carlton did 4 (1 as FA) in 2018, Gold Coast did 5 (1 as FA) in 2018.

I think it hurts Collingwood more. Not sure we have top 20 players coming through next year. Sydney have been getting a free ride for a long time, something had to be done.
Doesn't effect Daicos

I thought we had Brand/Eyre better brother

It doesn't impact Sydney or the other northern academies.
