It doesn't impact Sydney or the other northern academies.

That is ****ing garbage. The whole reason they were brought in was because of the Northern academies. Who cares about 2nd and 3rd round talent when nearly every year Sydney and GWS get top 10 talents.

Doesn't effect Daicos

I thought we had Brand/Eyre better brother

Josh Eyre thinks his younger brother Ryan (a midfielder) is better than he was at the same age.

Only 15 so 3 years away at least but someone to get excited about

Unless he becomes a number one pick and we can't do much

Younger brother has had a few injuries as well I believe

AAlright draft gurus, I want your perfect draft scenario for this draft situation

Pick 7, Pick 14 & pick 30

Hardly a draft guru/expert, but I'll have a go.

Assuming we know we are going to match bids for Brand/Eyre with the later picks, I am probably leaning away from talls.

7 - Perkins
14 - O'Driscoll/Poulter/Carroll - I'd probably lean towards NOD here, but I have to say that I am intrigued by those other two.
30 - Winder

tick tick tick for me

My Christmas list is Nick Hind, Seb Ross, Kyle Hartigan and Micochek or however you spell it lol

Hartigan just got traded to Hawthorn, Mihochek apparently re-signed for 3 years.

It makes me smile that such a limited footballer got traded to Hawthorne where he'll be for the next 3 years

Well I guess when a cooked Ben Stratton was their Captain and playing every week, Hartigan looks pretty good by comparison.
A cooked Ben Stratton is still better than Kyle Hartigan

Hartigan wasnt too bad this year. Stratton was terrible.

He can play lock down on the monsters though, he'll be a suitable option under clarko. Not like they are giving up much.
Not very often. Like, it is a terrible list management decision.

Not really, he's just a stop gap. Frawley and Stratton gone, they needed depth. Its not like they are giving up a 2nd round pick.
Giving someone like Kyle Hartigan 3 years is terrible list management. They need young key defenders, all he's going to do is stifle the development of Kosi or DGB if they draft him.

Its a 2 year deal? How's he going to stifle the development of DGB, hes not going to be able to take on monsters for years. If anything itll protect DGB and allow him to develop and play an intercept role.

It's been reported as 3 years last I saw. It'll prevent DGB getting games

Pretty sure its 2, with a trigger if he plays enough games. No it wont DGB isnt going to walk into the side as a full back playing on hawkins types. He'll be a 3rd tall to start, taking over Strattons role. Thats if they draft him.

Still, they have Frost and Hartley and Kosi (who they should be getting games into) so he's either stopping Hartley getting games or stopping Kosi or both, which just seems silly.

They clearly only view Hartley as back up, hardly played him this year as a bottom 4 side. Hartigan, frost and DGB (if drafted) as their starting 3 talls. It’s not like Kosi was a high selection either, rather a project player.

Yeah and I'm saying Hartigan is no better than Hartley. There is zero gain from adding him to the list.
