Yeah and I'm saying Hartigan is no better than Hartley. There is zero gain from adding him to the list.
He’s definitely better than hartley. If hartley was so good they wouldn’t have felt the need to add hartigan. Hartley can’t play on your Hawkins/ Tom Lynch’s types, nowhere near good enough.

So with Dunks on the cards, i imagine we'll have 1x 1st rd pick this year now
maybe a later one if we can squeeze one.

More inside midfielders - O'Driscoll?
KPD - Reid?
Split 6 for a couple of later ones and target some KPFs?

Eyre finished in 6th overall in the 20 metre sprint overall, but I believe that there was a significant tailwind at one of the Vic combines. 7th on running verticle jump on his right leg, 10th on the left

Just a short interview with Nathan O'Driscoll - seems like a good kid. As a defensive team orientated midfielder, I think he would be a very good acquisition to the midfield group. Hopefully still there with our first pick.

Should be there at 6. And i imagine we'll keep that pick.

Dunkley, caldwell and o'driscoll added to merrett, shiel, mcgrath, parish..
Nice

Can almost guarantee essendon won’t be drafting O’driscoll at 6 - he won’t go that high. If we successfully bring in Dunkley and Caldwell then I think we go down either the Reid or Perkins road. I’ve heard we are keen on both of them.

Midfield is getting pretty crowded whilst our KPD is looking very thin so I think we'll go the Reid route

Im leaning towards one of those medium utility types we don't have a great deal of.
Yeah this is definitely a need too, I'm not draft expert so probably depends on who we think we can pick up later too, whether we're aiming for a tall or utility type with our second pick.

I think there's a decent chance we try and split pick 7 for two first (and use one on Caldwell) so have Picks 6 and 13 or something like that

Who would people take with picks

assuming the big 5 are all gone (Logan McDonald, Riley Thilthorpe, Ellijah Hollands, Denver Grainger - Barrass and Will Phillips)??

In the extenuating circumstances that we do actually take these picks to the draft of course.

Surely we divest one of those first 3 picks for 2 x late firsts (Geelong or Brisbane) / future first (Collingwood) / 1 x late first + 1 x future first (Geelong or Brisbane)

Dunkley will see to at least one of those 1st 3 (if not 2) aren't held.

But let's assume our 1st next year gets him done, and we get 8;
6-Reid
7-Cox
8-Bruhn/Perkins/O'driscoll/Macrae
28-Callow

FB, CHB/wing/fwd?, +1 mid depth, FF
Eyre - CHF, Brand - CHB

reid and cox are both speculative immature key position players I am staggered the bombers would do this
i agree that the bombers are into Reid

6. Hollands
7. Reid
8. McCrae

Callow, Brand, Eyre as later picks.

I have a weird feeling one of the 5 slip. Nothing to substantiate that just a feeling. I'm sure Hollands goes top 3 after putting myself out there a little.
Assuming Hollands is gone and I'm delusional: Reid, McCrae, O'Driscoll.

My thought (not including JUH):
1. Tilthorpe. Local kid etc
2. McDonald. Norf bid on Campbell, take McDonald
3. Campbell.
4. DGB. Helps dawks fill defensive post vacated by Frawley.
5. Phillips. Reunited with Rowell to form a monster midfield for next 10 years.
6. Hollands. Slid after injury and because I want him at EFC!
