I thought he had a decent burst over the first 15 or so, but even if he doesn't, it doesn't diminish the point I'm making.

Well we've never had anything approaching the 3 top 10 picks in a row that we've got now.

I know people harp on about Parish and Francis but that was quite the hit and miss draft in general. It was laden with traps all the way through even in the top picks. Plus Parish is a good player and Francis is OK with some potential for more.

I think Francis will be a late bloomer. He's solid and seems to read the play well. Body seems resilient.

Well only time will tell but our picks are high enough that you are picking up blokes with lots of AFL level attributes so I think our chances are not bad at all.

Anyone else think that Dodfather offer to Adelaide for pick 1 might have been from us? I think it would likely be from GWS, but can not trust for us to not have that in our thinking. My reasoning is that we know the recruiting team is keen on Mcdonald.

Okay, seriously, having a crack at Logan McDonald is a very smart move. Jones and Eyre will be our young key forwards, Jones averaged less than a goal a game at TAC Cup level and Eyre is expected to be taken in the late third or early fourth round.

Francis is 24 and still hasnt locked a spot in the best 22
Zerk-Thatcher - God love him - was pick 60 odd and still has plenty of question marks

Picking up a Zach Reid/Nick Cox would be a smart move.

I have come around to the idea of adding Reid. Gives us a year or so to develop his body before Hurley, Hooker leave.
