We're doing one or the other, not both. Both Collingwood and North will demand pick 6 as part of the deal and there is very little chance O'Driscoll falls that far.

Okay, realistically it comes down to this, and who I'm projecting to be our picks:

Option 1: Trade 6 and 7 up to 2, take 2, 8 to the draft and match bids for Brand and Eyre
Option 2: Take 6, 7 and 8 to the draft, downgrade someone to the rookie list or delist someone to make up 5 senior list spots and match bids for Brand and Eyre.
Option 3: Trade 6 for 14 and Collingwood's future first and do the same as option 2.

Option 1 I think we end up with McDonald and O'Driscoll
Option 2 I think we end up with Reid, Perkins and O'Driscoll
Option 3 I think we wnd up with Perkins, O'Driscoll and Baldwin

Gimmie option 3 but I'd prefer we only take one of O'Driscoll or Perkins and go Reid/Cox with the other pick

Bruhn averaged 12 contested possessions in his two games last year, certainly leans towards the inside more than outside

Cal copped flack for not having Worpel in his top 25 in his draft year, i think he is in a similar situation with O’Driscoll personally. He is mixed between scouts but I’m certainly in the positive camp with him.

mix of talented mid, big inside mid & KPD

Yep this is the plan I hope they go in with. Although if Pies can’t get higher than 7 wouldn’t be surprised if they took Reid.

His kicking I guess but it’s not horrible, Worpel was a worse kick in his draft year. Even Rowbottom who is doing really well at swans now wasn’t the most consistent kick of the footy.

It’s almost like being an inside mid and having elite foot skills isn’t the be all and end all

hmmm odd, certainly seems faster than most on field. I don't know why he'd have such a high rating amongst recruiters in that case, possibly rating his skills and outside nous as higher end

He certainly does have good qualities , wouldn’t say he has elite pace but he’s not afraid to run and carry. his contested numbers were not great last year and that usually translates to afl, also his production wasn’t off the charts last year for a kid playing in a really good side. Say put Henry / Ford/ ginnivan etc in the eastern side last year and imagine what they could’ve done.

They take Bruhn i reckon over Reid. They actually have decent KPD stocks going forward.

Really? Reid done and Roughead isn’t going to be there long term, not sure they have much on the shelf behind Moore as a bonified key that can take the monsters.

That said - Beams, Treloar & Stephenson out. Pendles isn't getting any younger.

They are getting McInnes though and have Rantall waiting in the wings.

Hmmm i just checked and i thought they were deeper there with Kelly and Madgen. Have a lot of mid-tall types like Howe that distort their height profile.

Maybe they do go Reid, but with us getting Cody Brand i would rather risk losing Reid then definitely losing Perkins, which we would if we took Reid first as the pies will take Perkins in a heartbeat.

If Reid is gone by 7, i take Cox at 8. Genuine athletic tall with rdiiculous agility and running capacity. Slight reach but you can do that with 3 firsts if you like his upside.
