reckon speed comes in many guises; agility, poise and evasiveness can probably buy you as much time as road runner legs - or maybe a basketball backround can do it
Still want your winger to have the ability to break the lines like a lovett, Hills, I.Smith ect do.

Not all wingers have to, but im not sure hes an endurance machine like Gaff or has the courage/Aggression of say a K.Mcintosh and wed want him to become far more than that

Hes basically looks like Brad Hill to me but does he have the same speed and endurance? Whilst id say his kicking is better although B.Hill was a pretty elite kick in u18 aswell

If the Daicos bid comes @ 4, do the Pies need 36&38?

Would we/they consider 51&56 + F2 for 36&38 + F3
My quick maths
Daicos bid at 4 would mean:

Pies use 36,38,40 and 46(43) for points. Giving them 150 points left over (pick 60) returned

Would mean
Daicos at 4
Pick 48 (42)
Pick 58 (52)
Pick 60

So probably dont need all of them anymore. Not sure theyre even using more than 3 picks

Is there a player that could realistically be available @ 11 that the Lions would trade 14&18 for 11, 51 & F2?

Sinn, Amiss, NWM?
Nope.

Ok, back to the drawing board.
Richmond might trade up for Sinn. They're our Avenue. 13 and ~50 for 17 and 28 (into 30 next day) is what we'll see

Just trying to get fancy...

11+51 to Swans for 16+31 - Anyone the Swans would love?

31+F2 to North for 20 - 11 pick downgrade and replace their 2nd rounder for next year they gave to the Tigs?

I'm sure Brisbane are keen on Sinn from what I've read. Given that Port Adelaide will likely select him after our pick and since Richmond are probably looking at our pick, I can see 14 + 18 for 11, 51 & F2 happening.
They also have Wilmot as a back up plan. They'll only take the three picks so trading them 51 is rather pointless. They're a pragmatic bunch, getting a slightly lesser talent in Wilmot in addition to someone like Chesser or Sonsie is a much smarter plan than selling the farm for Sinn.

Swans already traded back (12 to 16) because they think their guy will slip. So I doubt it.

I want a practical trade if it comes. A few picks later plus a second is fine.

Fair.

Would be funny seeing the Swans get ahead of Port again just to take the guy they traded up for lol.

I'm hoping to see Hawthorne trade up for Finn Callaghan stupidly. That would be great.

Their 3 picks are 14, 18 and 41
Our 51 becomes 44 basically as soon as bids are matched for Daicos, Darcy and Owens.

So really it is 16 and 20 for 14, 44 and a F2. The F2 is appealing to them due to them having Ashcroft next year dont forget.
So for them they choose between 16, 20 and 38
Or
14, 38, 44 and a F2

They are essentially upgrading 16 to 14 and trading 20 for a F2 and 44. It is not that far fetched that they would go for it.

In reality though, that isn't true.

It's either 16, 20 and 41 or 13, 41 and 50. Our pick will go back out once bids come in for Fahey, Owens and Windhager at a minimum, probably Jase Burgoyne too. They're essentially giving up a top 20 pick for points they don't need yet and an average 3rd round pick.

They come to the table if it includes a second this year. That's it.

Hi guys, sorry for invading. I just wanted to get some insight from Bomber fans after reading Cal's late mail.

If you were in our shoes, and the draft went exactly as Twomey said it would, would you take Matthew Johnson or Ben Hobbs with Pick 12? Asking because I am genuinely f***ing stuck here!

I'd take Johnson for our list needs, but I'd go with Hobbs If we had West Coast's list.

Just given the players going from 17-30 in many mock drafts I think trading back for 17 and a second is the preferred option. Wouldn't be surprised if the second is bundled with a F2 if someones still there that we love in the early 20's
