I'm very interested in what Josh Sinn could be as opposed to Horne. And it's early days yet, both with us and the draft, we could have another bolter come through considering how unseen this draft crop is too.

It'll be a fascinating year for mature age talent as well. I'm hearing some really good things about Mitch Podhajski out of Coburg, who is still only 22.

Horne looks amazing for the national draft, highlight reel.

Freitag is very promising for the mid season. 20 disposals, 5 clearances and 2 contested marks on debut as a ruckman.

I think it's OK to draft multiples of a position you need. Baldwin hasn't even played.

You're right. Deafting Jones, Eyre, Baldwin plus picking up Wright in the last 18 months indicates that.

To pick up another would be to ignore other pressing needs. Such as a running defender midfield depth at this point.

The guys you listed have a combined 3 games. No guarantees to make it - all are lateish picks. If they see something in another Key Forward (that is more or less a free hit), you go for it.
The pressing needs are everywhere... and a KPF is the hardest one to find.

He isn’t what we need, there’s a reason he didn’t get drafted last year and the. Failed to win a spot at hawthorn. We’ve got enough young forwards to develop in Jones, Eyre and Baldwin.

Wright I doubt ever amounts to a genuine finals contending #1 forward.

Jones is a 3rd tall who could play 2nd tall at a stretch whilst Eyre reminds me more of Buddy Franklin than Josh Kennedy as a fwd.

A stay at home forward is what I’d still like to close a deal on. Baldwin is a free hit per se but coming from a long way back (exposed form and injury) and don’t want to hinge all hope on him.

Is that a Jack Gunston #1 forward? I’d still hazard a guess that Gunston doesn’t work nearly as well as he has without a big guy as the #1 behind him (Ceglar, McEvoy, Lewis etc).

I’m probably over thinking it and a reason why Leter Wright may be a better (bargain) pick up then even I’m giving him credit for.
