Dont know why we passed.

A flier on sambono would have been great. Liked Kreuger too, perplexing to pass.

Are rookies given 1 or 2 year deals? If 2 then that explains why we passed, probably want maximum list spots fornnext year where the draft and conequent rookie draft will be stronger.
1 year

Re the last list spot - is it possible to add Cat B's before list lodgement, or do they have to be explicitly tied to a draft pick? Not that I have any reason to think that would happen, I just seem to remember it coming up a year or two ago.
Cat B has no effect on Cat A rookies.

Right, forgot that. Well, ignoring that part of the question - can we use the last Cat B spot now? Or does it have to technically be a draft pick?
I think we can use it.

Answerth will play TAC as a 19 year old and I bet all money he gets taken next year if he stays injury free

Perfect opportunity to take a little risk on a player with great upside than risk paying a hearty price the following year ie Zaharakis.

absolutly stoked with trent mynott selection.......i know someone very well who played along side trent last season who went in the top 10.....said to me earlier trents an absolute bull....hard working tough competitor.....said great pick up by the bombers...will play games in 2018...hopefully many

how do you figure that?

Rookies contribute to the salary cap so i dont know where you got that from
There is something about when a rookie was upgraded for an LTI replacement then the rookie player's match payments come out of salary cap while they're upgraded. But rookies won't be upgraded anymore so that's all probably changed now.

Seriously if we don't take Parish you'd have to question the recruiting strategy. It's all well and good to take some speculative picks now and then but sometimes the safe path is the one that makes the most sense.
Absolute ****ing lol at tonight's draft. Stand by this 100%.

Mynott a much better chance to make it than Parish is/was. Listening to people that watch the draft crops closely, Parish was always a speculative prospect. Bit like Jackson Merrett, probably falls into the "less talented sibling" category.

Kids that genuinely can't kick to save themselves aren't looked on favourably unless they have a point of difference to balance it out (i.e. speed, x-factor, kicks goals regularly etc. none of which Parish has), the other thing that would go against him from what I can tell is a lack of versatility.

We sill regret this. Mark my words.

We absolutely should've picked my speculative player over the one Dodoro and co have watched play.

I have updated the OP with my current top 30 for next year. Plenty of very good players not making my top 30 so just goes to show why its considered a stronger draft.

Do you know whether Dylan Stephens from Woodville is eligible in 2018? I’m pretty sure he is a 2019 draft pick but I don’t know how the whole underager thing works.
