i cant speak for the rest of you, but i would be pretty dissapointed if we passed up one of heppel, polec or gaff for lynch.

not because i think we are set for talls, far from it. i think we have one key position set, and all the others are far from being taken.

but i think at this stage of our development we would be crazy to go past the best available.

i dont rate lynch as good as the three i mentioned above, in fact id prefer gorringe and caddy over him aswell.

Small forward who was runner-up in the under-18 best and fairest at powerful Melbourne suburban club Greenvale in 2009. Graduated to the Calder Cannons TAC Cup team in 2010 and played in their TAC Cup premiership team. I have also seen this kid play Back and midfield. I think the Richmond Football Club should have a good look at this kid for a number of reasons.

This kid is from a Turkish Background. He will we the second Turkish AFL footballer after Sedat Sir. I think its about time the AFL looks at the ANZAC clash carefully and shares this special day not only with PIES and DONS but get the Turkish AUSSIE / TURKS involved since we call this special event the ANZAC CLASH. I think its about time this ANZAC clash should be shared with other clubs.

Ozgur could be a very big asset for the RFC and AFL. Along side this is Bacher coming from a Muslim background i think it will increase our membership numbers. RFC has moved to cragieburn aswell with majority
of the population in Cragieburn/ Roxburghpark and broadmeadows is Turkish Arabic etc.

what are the likely options as a shock choice? polec obviously is a non-vic midfielder but hardly a shock to anyone if his name is called is he?

where do people expect likes of Smith, Conca and Andreoli to go? or even cripps? Smith appears too tall (for the description) but he could be the pick.

Yeah makes me assume Polec. But I got the impression initially that tigs expected someone a little unexpected, suggesting we probably wouldn't have to worry about him being taken before us. So on that basis, maybe not Polec, since he would have the interest of plenty of clubs with top 10 picks.

I don't know enough of the other interstate players.

Smith is the best fit for what the description was although he is a bit taller than 185cm. Still wouldn't mind him all the reports on him are rather impressive.

I'm not sure on the non-victorian part. Look at who we have drafted in recent years with our 1st/2nd picks. Majority of them are local Victorian lads. Assuming Gaff n Heppell are gone by 6, I wouldn't be surprised to hear Atley's name called out. Gone off the radar on BigFooty lately but I think he'll go between 6-8...

dont recall saying we are taking Polec? also we are keen on Isaac Smith. not sure what pick though? where is he likely to be taken (or where do we need to pick him?)

We'll need North not to take him with pick 17 or their compo pick and Brisbane not to take him with their picks 25 or 27 in order to grab him at 29. I reckon one of those two will grab him unfortunately.

This is often the case.

Cant see us taking Gorringe. The fans would rip punt road apart.

We need more quality in the midfield. Polec would have to be a huge chance. Some forget hes been playing seniors this year in the SANFL and was easily holding his own against men in a very strong competition. Thats the risk with a lot of juniors is how will they take the next step. Personally im happy with any of Gaff, Heppell, Polec, Smith. Its not like last year when the top 3 were set in stone and we were going to take whoever melb didnt from Scully, Trengrove and Martin. Aslong as we go mid, the bigs just arent convincing enough to pass on one of the mids

I really dont understand your dislike for vickery tugga, he is a 200cm foward/ruck but i do see him more foward than ruckman i have to admit.

He will come good & can see him being a very dangerous fowar that teams will struggle to matchup on when combined with griffiths & riewoldt in the fowardline. He has good speed,leap,marking to make it,but needs size & confidence at this level.

Gorringe, I have no problem with selecting him with pick 6 PROVIDED
the club see's him as elite ruckman that can also play foward like a mathew kruezer. But not interested in a tweener like a pattison.
Take him if he is elite only !!

Just think we have already committed a top ten pick in Vickery and we'd be stupid to have 2 over the course of 3-4 years unless they are nealry guarunteed to be a Matthew Kruezer clone (which a lot of us thought Vickery could be mind you).

i think your better of going the rookie / late draft pick rout for the ruckman. The one id really been keen to get to Tigerland is Jon Giles who had a breakout year at Sturt and is still only 22-23 years old. The Adelaide recruiter rated him as the best ruckman not in the AFL at the minute. There was a bit of talk we were trying to get him through the Gold Coast at trade time so hopefuly that means we will try and draft him, if someone dosent get in beforehand.
