Personally I would prefer to have just done what was the obvious thing at the time and draft this talented big man at pick 8 instead of F****** JON.

But I agree pick 6 for Clarke would be brillant.

Can't agree with this. Would only trade such a low pick for Clark if we traded to get the low pick in the first place.

No way is Clark going to be a permanent forward IMO. And we've already used one top ten draft pick on a ruckman in the last couple of years. We need to get the best mid or natural KPF available to us with pick 6. That should not change.

Clark has shown he can be a very good ruckman, but that should not be our priority at this point IMO.

I'd be interested to know what his top four goal hauls have been at Brisbane. My guess is the total of those four wouldn't surpass twelve. Just doesn't play like a natural forward IMO.

34 goals in 65 games and has never kicked more than 9 goals in a season, not exactly what you would say is great form for a forward.

Caddy's really not that good. Nowhere near the league of Gaff or Heppell.

One issue with Heppell. Isn't he predominantly a half back flanker? For those that have seen him play, does he/ can he play midfield? If not, it would mean pushing Heppell to the HBF and maybe Connors onto a wing, which I wouldn't be against.

So for me it's either Heppell and move someone else off the HBF, a position we will have quite a bit of depth in.

Where Caddy goes could be interesting. Think he missed the first couple of champs games coming back from injury and then preceded to dominate and earn AA selection. The knock on him was pace but looks like the kid is quick. Has some Chris Judd qualities. Dominates contested pill, has break away pace (and there is vision of him breaking out and away from packs) and can kick. Good package.

Heppell plays his best football in the midfield. He played HBF this year because he had no pre season due to shin splints and lacked fitness.

Played the majority of his under 16's as a pure mid and this year when the TAC finals came around he had the fitness base to move back there. He also played very well on the HBF in the championships and for Gippsland Power as the designated kicker and was given full confidence from the coach to always make the write decision.

What he said . Got better as the year went on as his fitness levels improved. He is an AFL footballer now and will only get better in an AFL enviroment. Watched him over the last 3 seasons and I am very confident he will be a beauty.

I wouldn't be. I'm not particularly impressed with him as a midfielder, and it's way too high to take him as a forward.

I'd go Heppell > Gaff > Lynch > Atley.
