No, they should absolutely not get supporter's advice in regards to drafting.... The average punter knows bugger all about it and they have paid recruiting staff. The reason we are in the position we are in may be because coaches have tried quick fixes in order to please supporters short term without doing what DH is appearing to do and actually build towards a premiership. Let's not let a bunch of supporters influence that..... All we should do is buy memberships, turn up to games and support the boys.....
And talk a lot of crap about everything RFC.

So Caddy it is. Thinking about it I like this. A bit of Bartel about him with his inside ability, overhead marking, quick hands and kicking.
Caddy, Martin, Cotchin, Foley, Tuck, Jackson will be unbeatable in the centre square. Morton, Grigg, Edwards and Houli can fill the wing/high half forward positions. Lids, Connors, Newman can provide outside run and finishing from the flanks. Looks tough but still well balanced. It's going to be good going to the footy and seeing the boys win the clearances and the inside 50's. Also Caddy's inclusion could give Cotch more flexibility to get outside a bit or even change with Lids on the half back line every now and then if we needed to release him.

A kid who can win his own ball and use it (dual-sided preferred) would be nice at 6. Dunno who fits that description though.
Also kicking mantra should still be in play for all our picks this year, like last year. Dunno where it went at the trade table. If you can't kick and make good decisions with the ball then you won't be drafted by Richmond. Hopefully.

Grigg, whilst not a great spot up kick is actually very penetrating and will suit the game plan, which is get it in long to our forwards one out. Also he can kick over zones with his running power and long boot!

Scott Clayton stated on SEN that pick 2 @ 3 in the darft has not been settled. Interesting....has Sam Day said that he would go to the GC if selected or is he still saying that he wants to play for a Vic or SA side.
I kinda got the impression that he was just suggesting that IF Travis Cloke was available, they'd take him in the top 3 picks. Even though they wouldn't really expect it to happen.
It was reported a few weeks ago that Day was happy to go to GC if drafted. Can't remember the source.

I also love Harper but think he will go between picks 13-17. Pick 6 is too high for him, as there are players that are simply better in different areas and he will be a HFF for the first 3-4 years, not a pure mid. Also, it is hard to compare as he was injured at the start of the year, so people haven't seen what he is truly capable of...
I am pretty sure there is no chance we will take Harper. Hasn't done enough and he is a cream player. His inconsistency and poor contested footy autmatically puts him in the teens. Not to say that he wont be a gun but if Cyril Rioli, who dominated juniors from day dot, went in the teens due to inconsistency in his under 18's year then Harper will not go at 6. Love to have him though if we had a pick in the teens.
im hoping for the return of crazy vossy in the draft and hoping he will take Polec at 5, still holding out faint hope of landing heppel but if not then caddy
definitely need someone with at the very least good skills, not above average, but good.
not many players ive seen have real elite kicking skills, but its also hard to judge in junior footy as players try to do it all themselves and the players they are kicking it to, dont run into the right positions.

Our last poor draft was 2005. Oakley Nichols. The people that made those decisions have since been removed.
Since then we have got JR, Vickery, Cotchin, Martin. Jury still out on Vickery but I think he'll start to show something and in 2 years he'll surprise a lot.
Decent drafting in my opinion.

jack watts , nicnat,mckernan,trengove,ayce cordy,phil davis,tom lynch,lewis johnston, mitch brown, ryan schoemakers , hurley ,jayden post were all the kpp taken in the top 30 of the 2008 draft.
only nic nat & hurley are the ones that have shown more than tyrone vichery & they were taken before our pick !
did anybody really expect a ruckman/lpf to show more than what vickery has shown in his first 2 years
serious guys get real & it will be 2012 before vickery is expected to be at the level to assert himself.

As usual I think the opposite to Mr Magic - who makes no sense at all.
From the footage I have seen of the likely players available at 6, Polec looks the goods. Polec appears to be very classy and just what we need - a speedy midfielder with good skills that can kick goals.

From the vision Polec can hardly kick at all. Is one sided and his weight is on his heels as opposed to toes which affects his agility when he moves.
Smith is classier and smartier in my mind but Polec has good hands when marking particularly at a reach
