Is CDT being talked up as a Top 3 pick because he's the best young ruckman in the country by a mile, or is he being talked up by the Victorian footy media because he's (with Duursma) the best young Victorian in the draft, and some here are drinking the kool-aid?

He's raw but Shanahan will be a project backman next year. He'll take 3-4 years imo but his size and athleticism will make him a great defender in time. AFAIK he's grown since the start of the year and is 198cm, super quick and with a prodigious leap.

Will be very interesting to see how he develops as if it goes well there is a best 22 KPD right there in our NGA next year.

Great for someone who has seen him to give an overview of D Shanahan for us non seen crew.
I think he has been somewhat overlooked as a prospect.
If he has been in and around the WA squad for this years champs, played 6 games of colts as an underage player and had decent games, for a KPD he projects very well imo.
If he is that size already he will be well over 200cm come playing size and will probably be a H Edwards replacement.
I rate Brock if he can put some size on he appears to be a good CHB option.

Taking CDT would worry me because it would signal that the club doesn’t really know what to do with Archer Reid.

Gimme Curtin with a second round pick. Plonk him in the forward line, Reid in the ruck and give Brock another pre-season/try some moneyball KPD options before investing big in that position.

It hasn’t moved it’s disappeared! Goes from Essendon to Saints pick and just skips pick 7 altogether. Makes a huge difference especially in the top 15 or so.

Zaydyn with pick 1 in the rookie draft is far more appealing than CDT with pick 1 in the national draft.

He started at HBF today but moved into the midfield in the 2nd half.
Gus Hay was given the job on him when he went into the midfield and absolutely shut him out of the game.
Of his 13 disposals about 3-4 were kickouts. One of which he almost hit me with a miskick.
