Matthew Lloyd on Footy Classified said the top 7 players are standouts , but extremely even. He probably got that off his brother that is a Fremantle recruiter. I thought it might be a good idea to trade back about 6 weeks ago , but perhaps we should trade up. If this Begley guy is this years Bontempelli or someone else is , I say lets go get him.

No-one knows who this years Bontempelli is, they didn't even know that year's Bontempelli was Bontempelli.

Barrels what have you done to this guy

Just had a thought, would be nice if GCS end up with pick 5, and Melbourne climb to 10th, because then with picks 5 and 9, if Bowes is bid on at 2, their pick would move back to 11, giving us pick 9 instead, should we end up with pick 10 that is

The main risk as I see it is that Victorian teams don't bid on the academy players (preferring local talent) and academy clubs let those players slide even further and get them eventually for a Steele.

Will Setterfield (GWS academy) probably needs to be in our discussions more if we really do value him at our pick ....

.... and he's a Sandy Dragons boy anyway.

what's your wrap on him Barrels
Gun. So so smooth, and classy, but harder at the ball than you'd think (he averages 4.2 tackles).

Racked up a hell of a game mid-year against the Jets; 26 disposals (65% eff.), 6 handball receives, 6 marks, 8 tackles and hitouts.

Would like him to be a bit taller than 183cm if I was really nitpicking, but I'd be stoked if we landed him.

Florent has some filling out to do but is already very skilled and also hard at it. Could be a David Swallow Jnr if he can find it a little bit more. If we have a pick after about 12 and he's still there then yes please, do want. Him or
The Jont.

I really hope we get this kid! Good to see Mav putting in the ground work!

Jesus tapdancing Christ... The bloke picking for the Saints (Crows supporter) on the Draft Board's PD trial run took Macreadie at #10.

A 196cm KPD/utility... Aaaah.... Not what we need...

And your two favs venables and Gallucci gone before our pick :)
Getting a closer look at Venables on Friday night. Should be illuminating.
