The Jolly trade was still probably right due to our needs, I agree. But still Tapscott and Taylor! WOW! Would have loved them both!
Yes! Wouldn't Tapscott and Taylor have been interesting! I would have loved to have seen what we would have been able to do with them. Would have loved having them both! My 2 favourite prospects in this draft!
But as for the yours of the real draft, really surprised me that Panos didn't get picked and would have taken him at 14. You picked it, but still can't believe it.
At 62 I was shocked that we passed on Thomas, and I would still have taken him at 62 also.
Panos at 75, totally agree, from the limited footage I have seen of him and what I have heard would totally take him also!
As for Grimes, could an ok depth player down back.
Great hearing your thoughts Knight!
After hearing the amount of clubs, or lack there of in Panos, was not surprised at all that he slipped.
Melbourne and Sydney are the only clubs to have been reportedly interested, and couldn't see him fitting either of those teams which is why I thought he could slip.
Thought he would be a really great fit at 33 for Essendon. But he will be a handy player for whoever picks him up in the rookie draft anyway.
I would have not hesitated with Thomas at 62, I too was worried when we skipped on Thomas! I viewed Sinclair as more of a rookie selection and am still intrigued by where Hine got that selection from. Clearly he sees something that others have missed, but still I'm not so sure about him and with Thomas developing not convinced if he was the choice. Will definately be a long term prospect and will take some time.
Grimes would serve initially as a depth guy, but I can see him developing and having the desire and application to improve which is why I would select him over others at 85.
Buckley will be interesting, not my selection, but still can see him making it and having an impact. Just with our already overloaded backline, will be interesting to see how he fits.
