I have already. People are disagreeing with my description: a highly sexualised / fetishised portrayal of femininity. Fine, what's theirs?
Upon what basis must all drag queens be "highly sexualised"? How many drag queens have you met? You make no mention of them having a sense of fun. Nor do you mention that they are taking the piss out of people like you.

Unlike you, I wouldn't presume to attempt to classify a entire group of people in such a cavalier and disparaging fashion. Why would you expect others to sink to your putrid level?

And another thing, the language you use, nay, the very mention of the word, 'fetiishised' is contrary to the agreement Chief struck during his prostration to the all-powerful Google. Think yourself lucky that I don't know how to report a post.

Have you ever had a five year old ask you "why?" something is?

That is the purpose of this entire exercise. "But mummy, why is that man dressed up like a girl?"... "because some people feel like that it how they want to express themselves at that point"

That's the conversation they want parents to be having with their children. The very next conversation is that you have to wear your school uniform to school because I said so and that's the rules.

Introduction of non-normal and divergent examples to children that young only serves to compromise the boundaries being established for accepted social standards, especially while the rest of society is telling them that their way is correct and valid no matter what it is, they are their own unique self and they get to set the rules.

Drag queens are actually great fun. I stand six foot tall in four inch heels and it's nice to be towered over by confident and bold people.

What is wrong about extending what isn’t wrong to blokes who like to wear dresses?

I don't understand why a drag queen would want to read to children or how that benefits your child by having been read to by a drag queen. I also don't understand why you would care if your child was read to by a drag queen.
Just all a bit bizarre if you ask me.

I would think if you can't get good answers for the first two questions maybe you should care about the third one.

I can understand how it might be traumatic for kids when they find out the woman dressed as a girl is actually a man.

I still haven't recovered from seeing Humphrey B Bear with his head off, puffing away on a durrie, and abusing me for bothering him on smoko break.

Called me a little campaigner. I know I was a bit of a dennis the menace, but still. :(

If they also wore hyper feminised features it would be similar.

Drag queens aren't pretending to be tough guys are they.
I cant see what the fuss is about in this thread, I have 3 grandchildren and I'd have no problem with men in not "normal" attire reading to them.

That’s the point. Why has something gone from not existing to prevalent in half a dozen countries in the space of a couple of years?

It’s not the only thing that would have seemed absurd a few years back that is now attempting to be normalised.

googled tough guy drag queen

This is the best I could do on short notice. At first I thought it was the bloke who whacked out Adriana in The Sopranos. Apparently it's a different drag queen.

If Divine was still alive she might be able to recreate her famous scene from that movie. For the kids.
