Don't downloads from Steam not count with most ISP's?

And you can get it for like $79 from a few places

Wasn't at my local store today =(. So tomorrow night, I will be playing this beast. Will probably get it on 360 if only because I need an excuse to dust it off. No difference in price, no major graphical difference (for me anyway), And there hasn't been too many complaints about the gameplay, unexpectedly, but the PC version is apparently more challenging. It has been a while since I played a game proper though :p

Got this game today. As usual all Bunbury stores have the new releases behind the ****ing counter. Even EB games, which was my last stop.

However, I feel extremely crappy today due to a fallout so I don't know if I'll be playing this tonight or not.

Since WoW in late 05, the only new non-nintendo titles I have enjoyed have been Oblivion, Bioshock and Fallout 3. Hopefully this will be the fourth to add to that list. WoW is a great destroyer of many things.

Really enjoying this game so far, some of the cut scenes are epic and remind me a lot of the LOTR movies. Even when the action isn't up I'm still entertained by the story, about 6 hours and can't put it down. Sure the graphics aren't super but you don't even notice after awhile.

Played for about 2 1/2 hours, very good so far. Pity I won't get too much time to play in the next two weeks because of exams.

Got it yesterday, given up for the moment due to graphics issues. Hopefully they will patch it soon and all will be well.

The requirements are quite steep. I've got a 1GB 9800GT - not great, but solid - and have everything turned right down.

If I am not mistaken, that card shouldn't be a problem at all. I'd say it's another bottleneck causing the game to run poorly, either RAM or processor.

If not, good thing I didn't buy this on PC with my 8800GT and 2GB Ram, would be best to open in powerpoint.:D

Hmm...4GB RAM and E8400 processor, so they shouldn't be that far behind the graphics card. Maybe my computer was having an off day.

Ok been playing a bit today. Awesome so far. Turns out it wasn't the game but i had moved my GPU and the slot i put it in doesn't run fully to 16x so it was all good once i changed slots.

Finally managed to get a few consecutive hours to play this game. Still learning the ropes, but 'tis awesome :D

Already inundated with sidequests. Gives me something to do post-exams haha. I'm trying my darndest to befriend Morrigan too :D

I decided to get it on the 360, because I wasn't exactly sure whether it would run smoothly on my computer. It is still a fine game on any platform though, definitely seems like there is enough content to justify the purchasing price.

My guess would be that you would get more value for money from this game compared to AC2, but it all boils down to which type of game you want to play I suppose.

yeah well I'm a bit of a tight arse so I look for games with lots of content and replayability. I don't want to spend $90 on a 10 hour campaign for example

They say that there is a lot to do in this game but is there a lot of variety? I haven't got the game yet but I will after exams. Hopefully the sidequests aren't all FEDEX missions.

I haven't gone far enough into the game to make a true judgement on that. But there hasn't been any complaints of that nature in the reviews ftr.

Basically if you like rpg games particularly the baldurs gate/neverwinter nights series you will enjoy this and yes there is heaps of stuff to do. Lots of "quests" that don't actually show up in your journal but are just a note and you figure the rest out yourself. Only flaw for me is that it is a bit lacking in magic weapons/armour compared to other games.

Also many of the quests require you to pick a certain side and most of them aren't black and white choices of good/bad, which is a nice change.

Thats what I've noticed too while questing tonight. There are a lot of motives. There was this quest in this elven camp where I had to reunite this couple. Not as simple as doing the quest. If I do those kinds of quests , I lose reputation with Morrigan, which I don't want to do. I want the rewards, but at the same time, I need to satisfy her too. It is a fine balancing act if you want to play it that way.

I could romance Leianna, but bleh, too religious for my liking ;P

No ten hour campaign here, I'm a bit of a completionist but I've already rolled out 60 hours and still enjoying the gameplay.
