Dream Team Guns

Richmond forwards should be left out of anyones dream team. We have so many options and an individual player cannot rack up a good total.

Brownie would be the only forward I'd jump on, only due to his price.

Pick players who find themselves in a weak position of their team and will be heavily relied apon. EG Joel Bowden last year.

Pettifer is a good pick up and will hopefully be more consistant then he has been last 2 years and kick more goals or set up more i defitnatly have him in my team

What do you think Shane Tuck is going to be like this year? He was amazing in 2005 but I felt last year he went off the boil a bit. Can we expect to see an improvement in his game or more of the same?

I think Tucky was pretty much at the same level last year as the year before in reality. He'll be there again this year too - no hugher, no lower, but as far as dream teams go guaranteed value for money is not a bad thing.

You are a n00b to DT, ey?

Pettifer gets very big scores, he roams around the ground and gets possessions everywhere, then he goes forward and bags a couple.

Jack Riewoldt isn't a good reserve, he'll play a max. of 5 games and his avg. will be around 30. KPP 1st year players are awful in DT.

Get on Richie :thumbsu:

Noob to dream team ehs? Who beat you twice in their first season of dream team and finished second?? ahuhs you're a cleaver man. Won last year averaging 1850, with 6 games over the 2,000 mark. Was 5 points short on winning the Richmond weekly award.

You can still call me a dreamteam noob if you wish ;)

Pettifer will get good scores, wow. so will every other established AFL forward. For his price he'll do okay, but there are better players outside Richmond. Like I stated earlier, Richmond have many players going Forward who will effectively reduce Pettifers total.

As for Reiwoldt, you seen him play? ... no. You seen him train? ... no! 5 games? pft clever man.

As cheap as he is, how is he not a good reserve? Even if he did only manage 5 games?

I think he played right up to his best in the games he got last year Sheller and would say he's still a fringe player right now. Probably needs an injury or two to get alot of games/game time.

Angus is still on the rookie list for now so id go with Renouf unless Angus gets promoted.

With Biglands and Hentshell out for the season, Clarke at St Kilda, Ben Hudson coming off a knee injury, Welsh and Perrie struggling with crapness and fitness ... you might want to consider Meesan and Maric. Someone will have to play ruck/forward for them and those two blokes should be be cheap ruckmen who actually play.

meesen actually got injured during the first NAB game so i dont know where hes at but id get on Griffin from the crows in the ruck department, rated highly and will play alot of games. 82k
from the tigers im going with foley, j bowden and n brown.
i want to go with pattison as a ruck reserve but i cant bring myself to do it.

Pattison's been on fire so far in the pre season. You'd have to think he's a safe bet to raise in price significantly.

lol the dreamteam talk has found its way to the tigers thread.

anyway, foley is cheap as and will start getting 20+ possies n a heap of tackles each week.

bling and lids are good value

Meeson and Maric are both injured.

Missed that. But in that case then Griffin basically has to play round 1.

what about nathan foley?

the talk is - he will step up what makes you say that?

Because he was averaging high possesions last year despite playing limited minutes. The coaching staff seem a little reluctant to use him, but despite that he was getting 20 touches in half a game. With an extra preseason, more fitness (in the top-3 in preseason fitness) you'd assume that he will get extra gametime = more footy.

Plenty of his touches will be dodgy, but there is no reason he couldn't come up and post some seriously impressive numbers this season.

id look at adcock, dale morris, tom murphy before looking at polak.
above polak in price id go for gilham and newman over him.

and YES we have now gathered meesen and maric are injured..

thoughts on Pattison Vs Moran, C.Wood, Hudson??

I know Hudson will play the bulk of playing time at Adelaide and is about 35k cheaper then these other three, but they are all fit and move fairly well around the ground..
