I only have one rookie playing at the moment but I may bring in a couple more for Rd 1 once we know teams. Midfield is a bit risky and the forwards struggle after the first two guys. Any thoughts?

I am confident that most of the tier 3/4 players can increase their value to some extent but there are definitely some injury risks.

RPetterd15,
your team is filled up with too many middle-tier players and not enough big guns. i counted just 5 premiums... S.Fisher, Goddard, Cox, B.Harvey, Giansiracusa. your squad requires too many upgrades which means you'll run out of trades without creating a superteam. get some more guns in.

my 1st draft:
b - Carrazzo, Scotland, Shaw, Lockyer, Adcock, JSmith, Raines, [Hill, Suban]
c - Swan, Kornes, Boyd, Hasleby, Coughlan, Rich, [Davenport, Robinson]
r - Cox, McIntosh, [White, Currie]
f - Pavlich, Harvey, Deledio, Thomas, Lucas, Higgins, Yarran, [Sidebottom, T.Lynch]

i am way over budget (about 180k over :D).
so who should i downgrade? i would like to hold at least 13 players over 300k (i currently have 13).

My team may seem suicidal with all of ABC and Cox, but I like it.

In all seriousness Walshie, that is one of the best teams I have seen posted on this forum.

Good job mate.

Cox, McIntosh (Meesen, Sellar)

The team has 5 rookies starting on the field so it may.

Surprisingly, it does fit into the salary cap. I was in a conversation earlier about the possible strengths regarding the initial backline and midfield line ups. So then I decided to experiment a little on fanfooty to see if I could fit in the ABC Trio.

As for the rookies, I would be risking a couple of zeroes if I decide to go into round 1 with the current squad. Hopefully by the time the NAB Cup finishes, I would have rectified this flaw, or I might get lucky and might not have to alter my side at all :p

Cheers mate. I wouldn't say it's one of the best, but I do appreciate your comments.

Pikey, a bit safer but still risky. Consider the strength of your backline bench if 1 or 2 go down, are they going to be playing. You also have 4 on the field possible but not guaranteed in their teams best 22 so it could be early zeros.

I won't talk about individual players as they are your choice but structure wise I'd be looking at 1 less keeper in the mids to boost the backs / fwds a bit.

I assume the four you are talking about are Hill, Robinson, Ziebell... not sure of the other one lol

With my remaining cash im looking at upgrading the backline bench. As they are both rookies.. i am guessing that one or the other if not both will be promoted to the senior list.. while the other bench position will be taken up by a player who has shown good signs in the nab cup and is likely to get a game taking into account their respective teams durability in that position. I understand hill most probably will not play every week, but hey thats what the bench is for right.

The way i see the rookies on the field and bench in the Midfield and Forward line .. i actually see that as being safer than other peoples teams suggesting they will start at least 2 rookies in the one position as i am not relying as much on them getting a game (not sure of that makes sense). As higgins and skipworth look likely to play all 22 if fit (i didnt just jump on skipworth after friday nights game lol)

Your not going to win if u dont take risks.. and this is just how i play dreamteam lol
