Hi all this is my virgin post on this board so here we go. I've lurked for a bit so I kind of know what to expect, the hammerings some people get are quite funny.
Anyhow my question is do any of you ever dream of playing footy and remember it? I ask this because last night I was on fire for Hawthorn playing at the G. It was wicked, i always dream very vivid and in colour and shit playing AFL in front of a massive crowd was fun. Crawford, Dixon, Thommo and Lord had great games I even managed to reverse banana kick a goal!.

Just wondering because if you haven't you're missing out, it's good gear!

Interesting topic, as far as I can recall, no I have never dreamed of playing football. I did however have a dream once that I was playing cricket on the MCG in the Australian team, only everyone was like giant-size and it was just plain scary.

Crackers, maybe this is a premontition? If so, when you dream of those six numbers on a Saturday (or tuesday, wed, thur) let me know and we can go halves!

Never dreamt of playing though, wish i did. The North American Indians believe that the real world is the 'dream' world and the waking world is in fact the 'dream'. Think along those lines, and then ask for a bigger contract! (but stick with the Hawks, we need you!)

I have a few footy dreams. The first one and most vivid one though was in 1993, just after the grand final. I was in a Carlton guernsy but kept trying to kick goals for Essendon. I was named best on ground for Essendon... I'm not sure why I wasn't dragged, but hey, it was a dream... weird.

I've never had a footy dream, but I once had a vivid soccer dream.

For some reason, Spurs were playing in the backyard of my childhood home, and I was playing up front. I don't remember who the opposition was, in fact there may have been none at all.

As clear as day I can see Sol Campbell dribbling up the narrow side of the house, out of the shade, passing under the clothesline to Darren Anderton, who fired a low cross in. I got on the end of it, and tapped it in through the open door of the shed for what must have been an important goal, since all the players mobbed me.

Pretty scary stuff, and obviously a fantasy - after all, when does Darren Anderton deliver perfect crosses?

He's blonde, he's quick
He's got a massive ... err ... kick
Danny Chook! Danny Chook!

Well, for years I have played "kick the socks around my room, and kick them through the doorway to score a goal." That was pretty fun. I still play it now! Essendon has won countless premierships this way. In fact, now that I think of it, they have won every premiership !!!

Sorry hawkforce., when I play the sock game through the hallways of our house and through the doorways, Essendon always win. Just co-oncidence. The fact that I barrack for Essendon has nothing to do with it. We've now won 20 consecutive "sock" premierships, but I swear, it's just a co-incidence.

Dan 24: Same! I used to do that all the time with the socks, it got quite complex in the end with changes to the angle of the doorway etc then i got a mini footy and it was game on!....haha can't believe someone else has done this, of course Hawthorn won the majority of games but again purely coincidence

Refuse_the_mark: Love the name

Jethro: I hope you gave Brad Hardie a stray elbow
