Driver whinging has to stop

Seen this great presentation a couple of years ago from a bloke in a wheelchair once, 90% of it was about safety and living with a disability, only at the end he explains what happened to him. Crashed speeding back after a few beers at the pub, he lost his ability to walk, one friend flew out and was hardly injured but his other friend was killed instantly. Something that would be good for any young adult to see and to make them think about not doing stupid shit at that age.

being that he was a daily smoker, i would have thought that the drink had affected him more yes

Which is what sickens me, that no doubt "being high" is what people will remember it for, as even you stated.

If you are a daily smoker the weed will not impair you anything like 0.18 and prescription meds will.

Its a joke that weed is even tested for.

If some straight nuffy slams into me and kills me as im driving lawfully, it will no doubt be my fault because i smoked a joint a week ago.

True but it certainly doesn't help.. smoking weed definitely contributed to minor bingle I had years back from a lapse in concentration.

fair point

People who don't realise that any lane that isn't the left lane is an overtaking lane really grind my gears. If cars are overtaking you on your left you're doing it wrong and you're a shitful driver. Talking about freeways mainly.

This only applies to 90+ zones i think?

I use the right lane as more of an express lane. If I am not exiting for a while, im gonna be in that right lane. I'm not slowing down or constantly changing lanes to allow merging traffic in. If there are people that want to go past me tough shit as they are speeding as I too will be doing at least the speed limit, but more than likely speeding too so there is no need for them to go past me.

On the Kwinana/Mitchell Freeway I typically stay in the centre/outside lanes.

Perth people have enough trouble with merging, they don't need me who is exiting 10km down the road being an extra obstacle at each of the 5 merge points before I get off.

When my exit is coming up I will move over to the left lane in advance so that I'm not one of those people who decides 100m before they need to exit to swerve across 3-4 lanes at once to get to it.

It's also time for cyclist to get of the ****in road!!!!!!!!!!
cyclists, hate them! RUN EM OVER!

so what's your problem exactly?

Imagine if every cyclist off the road added another car to the road?

Bikes take up the smallest amount of room on the road, yet you choose to single them out as an issue on the road?

Yet at certain times of the day, it's quicker riding around the CBD and surrounding suburbs than driving...

plus you're talking bullshit - very rarely is a car ever actually 'stuck' behind me

You wouldnt know.

I wouldn't know what? I wouldn't know if a car is stuck behind me while riding?

I tend to be very aware of what's happening behind me while riding because it's in my interests to know - Things pop up on the left hand side alot (car doors opening, pedestrians stepping out) so I keep an eye behind my right shoulder fairly regularly..
.
As a result, I am very aware of the few occasions a car is in the left lane, stuck behind me, trying to get into the right lane to pass me... Doesn't happen that often, and when it does they're not waiting very long at all.....

What about the 20 cars behind it that have to hit the brakes and skid?

You may be a good and alert rider, but 80% of cyclists i see are a hindrance to shit drivers.

Dont worry, im one that flies past you missing your elbow by 20cm.

Honestly, how could you drive around Melbourne these days and not be aware of the high possibilities of cyclists on the road? - you should expect it by now...

aslong as you don't yell shit out at me as you pass me within 20cms, I won't care too much
