Driving Tests

Don't worry, when i did my 2nd test (complete w***er of tester) I did everything well but he was making me angrier and angrier and when it was the end of the test when you drive back to the building I wasn't concentrating (through anger) and drove through the exit side of the car park:rolleyes: needless to say that was an automatic fail, but he was such an arrogant tosser and I felt better when I gave him a mouth full (and secretly felt like slamming the car into reverse when he got out-wish I did now):p 3rd time lucky for me, only have to wait until Oct 4th when I get off the dam plates and can drive at a normal speed

A girl I know ran over a cat on her 3rd attempt.

One of my mates failed when he rolled back just as he took off. Automatic fail, he didnt even move forwad a metre. lol.

I had a friend who nearly flattened a pedestrian in their test, needless to say they didn't pass and another who was quite nervous going in hit the accelerator (instead of the brake) when doing a foward park which resulted in the air bags inflating (sorta like what happened on the show Last Chance Learners), they didnt pass either

2nd test is on Thursday morning at city west so I will be a little more confident since I live in Subiaco and know the area well. Very different driving in Joondalup than it is in the inner west, hopefully I will do better.

only problem is that I have grown a pair of man cans, I have to do the test in an auto because of a compartment syndrome in my left leg.

Bloody hope I pass, leaving for Canada at the end of November & I really want to get all of this over with before I leave.

God damnit.. i have to start driving soon too. Got my L's (although its probably been 6 months).. had a couple lessons and then had exams so I put it off . I guess next week is the go. :thumbsu:

what a difference a bit of confidence makes

zero mistakes during normal driving (18/18) and during the left something behind task (12/12) (pull into the curb, leave, turn around (u turn) turn around again (3 point turn) and park out front of original place)

bumped the curb on the parallel park but went back out and did it again perfect but still lost a point.

lost 2 points on the reverse left park, wasn't any cars and the parking lines were feint so it was a little difficult but still passed it. 9/12 for parking overall

needed a total of 28 points to pass (4 + 8 + 4 + 8 + 4) and scored 39 (6 + 12 + 6 + 9 + 6) of a possible 42 - needed to pass 4 of the 5 sections and I passed 5.

supposedly speeding on Aberdeen street Northbridge but the instructor couldn't prove it, if its a 50 zone then not speeding otherwise I was 3km over. anybody know for sure ? turning onto Aberdeen from Parker St, along that park (Russell Square ??)

So much better than my previous attempt, didn't even make it past the first task before getting too many errors to pass :D

Still in shock that I was able to pull it all together on the day, feels like it was more luck than anything.

Now I just need to forge the log book hours over the next few weeks and sit the HPT and I am done !

Good on ya mate!
Word of advice for the HPT, make sure you dont click too early! I did out of nervousness and missed the hazard!!! Hahaha

LTAM, awesome job but i feel jealous towards you passing.

A few weeks ago i had my test, was going well pulled up on a hill , turned wheel in hand brake up turned car off. Was a good park , my instructor then told me to pull out so did all my shit but i didnt put the handbrake all the way down and i didnt notice it, so were driving along and he went something like "look at your dash" and i saw the handbrake light on so he goes "ok turn around and we'll make our way back" i was so pissed off he was a w***er so i got back and argued for about 2min that it cant be an automatic fail, before i got out of the car locked the door and called him a w***er :D.

Was supposed to have a test next week, but some idiot decided to put my MOCK exam on the same day.

but good job on the pass.

ouch, that is very harsh

I think that its an automatic fail because he gave assistance but he is still a prick

good luck for your next test :thumbsu:

Reading this thread I am now very scared. If any of you happen to see a Volvo 4WD anywhere between Subiaco and the CBD please pull over to the side of the road and let me by. I am too important to the fabric of society to be cut down in the prime of my life by a miscreant learner driver.

Thank you.

You, in a Volvo?

Now that's one I didn't expect

Unlikely now, I will now be on the lookout for it, so if you see a mad driver coming at you WATCH OUT! ]

Jesus man, driving tests seem pretty complex these days?! Admittedly I did mine 9 years ago, but all I remember was driving around the block and reverse parking at the local school, before heading back to the driving place. It went for all of about 3 minutes.

I just made it sound more complicated than it actually was

we drove from west perth to northbridge, did a reverse park, did a lap around the block and did the 'left something behind manouver', did another lap and did the reverse park and went back to the centre.

25 minutes in total though, my foot was getting tired :D

Haha, so now they're testing P platers on doing laps in Northbridge :D:D
