Im not saying Polak is better then Tarrant but watch more the one richmond game before judging polak.
Against WC Polak played half the game in the ruck and the rest playing defensively on the forward resting ruckmen.
He hasnt been playing just in defence he has been playing forward, ruck and defence. He doesnt play loose man in defence either. Alot of the time he gets the third tall or resting ruckmen because he can run off them and make a third man up situation. He has occasionally played on the big forwards like lucas, who he did very well on, but in this age where these guys run all day he just doesnt have the motor to go with them for extended periods of time.
When he came from fremantle he had terrible body strength and fitness. I could say that maybe the fitness and conditioning program is shocking in Fremantle, especially when people at richmond notice, because he and Simmonds were terribly out of shap when the arrived.![]()
He has spent very limited time in those roles that you outlined and during that time he has produced very limited results. His small stint forward was commendable where he kicked those three goals.
As for watching more then one game, I have watched every single game of AFL football that has been played for the past 3 years, for any team.
The fitness at Freo is as good as any. If Polak and Simmonds were in bad shape, then that might explain in part, why we let them leave. Could also be blamed on your preseason regime. Mind you in saying that, I'm quite sure Simmonds was rather fit. Either way, it's an irrelevant concern.

especially when the heat is on, and we have the chance to get rid of that bagel in our "wins".
