This being my first crack at DT, can I please ask how the finals system works? I'm trying to figure out the best place to finish on the ladder (like I have a choce!) Is it the same as the AFL?

Exactly the same as AFL, u wanna finish top 4 minimum, just in case u have a bad week.

Also make sure u analyse the draw and work out danger games that should be avoided. Ie./ Dont bring in any players that play against Sydney in Round 19-20-21-22. ;)

Exactly the same as AFL..

Round 19 - Saints
Round 20 - Brissy
Round 21 - Collingwood
Round 22 - Hawks

Sydney play these teams in the finals .
In addition you might want to watch players from the following teams:

Rd 19 - Port, Hawthorn
Rd 20 - Essendon, Sydney
Rd 21 - Kangaroos, Adelaide
Rd 22 - Melbourne, Geelong

Who play Carlton and Brisbane respectively. Expect 150 from Jimmy in the league Grand Final.

This isn't a good thing.
Currently doing a quick study of the number of scores 100+ against every team over the first 16 rounds, and only 46 100+'s have been scored against Brisbane this year, at an average of 2.875 per game, compared with say, Adelaide, who concede an average of 3.875 100+'s per game.

Actually, now I look at the stats it seems you're right steainsy. For some reason I had this thought that Midfields vs Brisbane seem to perform above average. Maybe its just Geelong - look at their previous game vs the Lions.

Yeah I also thought that picking a captain against Brisbane (or any other bottom four side) was a great idea, but today I was wondering if it was true.
I find it interesting how Adelaide concedes an average of 3.875 100+ scores a game, more than both Richmond (3.375) , Carlton (3.8125) and Melbourne ( only 2.6875).
The average scores of 100+ against sydney is... 1.375. Haha.

I would never have picked that, given how Adelaide conceedes low scores (ie goals, points) against. Are they the highest?

Adelaide play a massive flooding game, so its not really a suprise that lots of players get 100's against them. Lots of short kicks and marks against Adelaide. I would suggest that not too many forwards would get tons against the Crows but plenty of backmen and floating mids.
