Both very similar but I think Matt might be able to Priddis-style accumulate disposals to a greater extent than Brad
Thanks, very good answer. Too many people answer fantasy questions with how good the player is when it's all about the stats and three cheap kicks that go nowhere are twice as valuable as a couple of incisive handball goal assists.
And he is cheaper by 19K.

The other issue is Brads injury history which make him a higher risk prospect. Both have the potential to score big though and become true premiums.

Your opinion on Matt Crouch v Brad Crouch in fantasy? Already have other mid-range mids so can only take one. Also looking at Brodie Smith and maybe Wayne Milera.
if you can only take one, take Matt. He should be in every SC team as far as I'm concerned.

Smith only got going late last season after the two early concussions so I'd expect him to average much higher scores this year.

Just borrowing the Crows intellect again.
Can your man Rory Sloane get to be a top ten mid? I think he is really underpriced and with a fit Brad Crouch, that may help.
Losing Danger is a drag, but may mean he can step up.
How has his preseason gone and what are your thoughts on him?
Many thanks and go Crows.

How does Smith getting up and going affect Lairds scores, if at all?
Thanks again in advance.

I think he can be a top 10 mid in terms of skill, but his scoring ability is probably lower than someone like Matt or Brad Crouch. Sure, he'll still average a fair bit, but I'm not sure he will average over these guys.

His pre-season has been a bit lackluster to be honest, wasn't super amazing against Gold Coast, and of course the West Coast game was a bit of a joke. I think he'll pick it up during the regular season.

As for Smith and Laird, both will score highly this season when up and running. I don't think Smith playing well will affect Laird all that much; in the pre-season Laird has been accumulating very nicely even with Smith playing well.

Gee Brad hasn't played a lot and Matty is a gun but I am surprised by your comments.
Food for thought, certainly muddies the waters somewhat.
Thanks for your time Scorp. Muchos gracias.

Don't get me wrong, Sloane is a great player and better than Matt Crouch in general. But in terms of points I think Matt is better value and could average more

Sloane was practically invisible v WCE

Sloane didn't give me a great feeling this preseason. He could do it, but to me didn't look like value next to the other guys in his price bracket.

I reckon they'll probably find each other a bit, and both will probably push up the ground a bit more this year. Laird kept putting in great performances once Smith was back up to speed last year, I wouldn't worry about one negatively impacting the other.

I'm backing Laird in, but there's always a risk involved when a player is coming off a career best year, hopefully he can follow up.

I'm really interested to see what game time Matt gets on the weekend. Nab 3 was the only full game of the preseason and he still played just 70ish% game time.

I wonder if he's ever played more than 75% game time in the regular season?

EDIT: After a look back at the second half of last year, he played 76% game time twice which was his max. On average his game time was about 72-73%, about 10% less than other midfielders.

Hopefully he can bump that up by at least 5% this year.

Sloaney's a SuperCoach stud, will be there or thereabouts, but I think there are better options at the top end to be honest.

Regarding Matt v Brad, the way I see it, Matt will be a Fantasy/Dream Team pig, Brad more a SuperCoach player.

nup, I've got him too, I'm excited.

serious value in my opinion, hope we can unlock his potential.
could be boom or bust, I'm seduced by his ceiling and I have confidence he has a prominent role in our team.

Not great for bye structure though but if he fails i'll make him an earlier upgrade, if he is a boom pick ill be able to deal with it!

Got given a guernsey with Matty Wright's number on it which was okay to begin with, but very rapidly became pretty disappointing.

Hopefully the Seed sparks a revival of my love for the #11

So, I'll be the first of the thousand people to ask about McGovern tonight. Will he be a decent pick for SC or am I better off biting the bullet and waiting for someone like Petracca?

I literally know nothing about him.

Really hard to say. His form in NAB 3 was good and scored 88 DT off 14 disposals, hopefully he'll continue that into R1 playing a wing/forward role similar to Lynch and Cameron (who's out injured). Don't think he'll be a huge scorer but he's not going to get a KPD score either

Hey guys
With the inclusion of Seedsman, do you guys see Laird's production dropping a bit, given they play very similar roles? Adding onto the issue there is Smith who will also take a significant share of the outside possessions?

I don't think so. We'll see Smith primarily at half back going on the NAB games, and Laird will be there as well. Laird has still been racking up the disposals and it looks like that will continue.

Seedsman has been flagged for a slightly different role that's primarily wing, with a little half back and half forward. He won't really be interfering with Laird. If anything, Laird will be passing to Seedsman
