At the start of the game Robert Walls made mention that Richmond would not lose anything by Jackson being out and Cousins coming in to replace him. Honestly how many games do these so called experts watch , obviously not enough.

Bens game was disgraceful , he is unfit , running around on one leg and on the form he has shown this year should be playing for Coburg permanently . Maybe even Thirds.

Hislop would of contributed more than Cousins last night and he will be delisted at years end.

I hope Jackson learns not to be a try hard tuff man out of this. Brett Kirk doesn't go around half assed head butting people does he. I'm not sure if Jackson realises what a career he could have.

Cuz has had a brilliant career but unfortunately it is over right now.

Oh I also loved when Walls was giving Vickery a touch up and when he said " this young man has been in the system for a couple of years and he hasn't put on any weight what so ever! Not good enough"

What a flog , Vickory was drafted 1 year ago and has put on weight. Also other than Nic Nat there are not too many 19 years olds running around playing first grade in the Ruck for 8 weeks in a row. Vickory did get a touch up off Hill and Ryder but it was expected.

What about when he said a free kick was there, but he was glad they didn't pay it?????? Lloyd wasn't very biased either....

I went berserk over that comment. I mean what is that? I bet he wouldn't have said that if it was against his beloved Blues.

My favourite was in 2008 when asked if Richo could win the Brownlow. Just answered "No". No explanation or anything. Richo went very close that year.

I hate it when the game is on Channel 10 as i have to endure those idiots. And unfortunately it is delayed so you can't even tune into the radio as a commentary.

Bring back Channel 9. Eddie is so much better than these buffoons.

Im fairly sure it was Lloyd who made those comments and Walls in fact said it was a tough call considering he'd only been playing 2 seasons

Regardless, Im growing tired of the weekly, lets put the boot into Richmond, by all media outlets...its bordering on the pathetic..

I can't even comment on this thread because I will get too worked up. I hate Walls, Lane, Lloyd etc etc
good one red lol
yep, so called experts of the game[walls & blight] , they never made any mistakes & were champions in there own minds, stating the bloody obvious --- **** the special comments !!! just commentate on the play
now we have one M Lloyd giving his slant how to play footy
also unmic the umps -they are now coaching the players on how to play
"let him go" etc just blow the whistle on an infringement

I've found Lloyd to be reasonably objective in the spurts of commentating he's done in the past. What was he saying last night? (I was at the game btw).

After round 4 on footy classified they asked him if Melbourne could make the 8 after just winning 2 in a row , he gave a flat NO . A week later he said he'd put $50 on them to make the 8 .

There is only one way to stop it, we have to start winning games! It's a simple as that. Unfortunately until this happens we have to expect more of this kind of rubbish from the media.

I thought it was stupid when he said Richmonds problem was because they recruited midgets. He mentioned Nahas and Nason.
Obviously he doesnt realise a team requires different shapes and sizes.

Over the years I noticed he likes to comment about players physiques. Always talking about bigger players and critisizing smaller players. Gives me the impression he bats for the other team.

Yeah I think that was when Fletcher placed his hands in Astburys back and held him off the contest. WTF this was a blatant free kick last year and Walls was one of the blokes who was in favour of that rule. If it was Astbury putting his hands in Fletchers back Walls would be screaming for the free. He loves finding ticky touch frees for his mate Nick Riewoldt. Walls = FN wanker:thumbsdown:

What a pathetic comment, does Walls even do his research. Vickery is still 19-20yrs old - what does Walls expect from a young guy to be built like Barry Hall within their second season in the AFL.

I can't stand listening to Walls. So obvious he hates Richmond.. I can't wait until we start winning games to shut these commentators up.

Yeah the commentary was a joke, but I must thank Huddo for being the voice of reason when the idiots were making uneducated comments on our players. Plus there was no comment on how even the scoreboard and contest was after the first quarter, and how many dodgey free kicks Essendon got from the slightest of holds off the ball.

I've found Lloyd to be a very good commentator but it would be hard to be objective commenting on your old team. I was there too so I don't know what he said.

I noticed a few radio stations kept saying that Essendon destroyed Richmond. They obviously didnt watch the match, we werent that bad. Our first 15mins was disappointing but still we managed to fight back at some stages.
And, yes the umpiring was bad! Pro- Essendon.

If you look at Cuzz's stats, he's handballing more than kicking these days. He did look slow last night, and i'm really starting to believe the game has passed him. Last night also showed how much we missed Jackson's aggression and hardness at the pill. Richmond could do worse than pursue a guy like Kirk to come to our club next year.

I was listening to N Brown commentating on tripleM, and he was actually very good and unbias.
I was about to go off at this post ...

... but then realised that the idiot commentator on triple M last year when the Tiges beat Essendon was not Brown but Crawford. Most bias commentating I have ever heard. I probably associate it with Brown because he was probably commentating as well.

**** crawford is atrocious though. He adds nothing but character to the Sunday Footy Show and on radio he can't articulate his thoughts or his character well enough but rather just be a pain in the arse to listen to.

Walls just another old fart staying in the game far too long. Parkin is another, I'm certain he said on AFL teams Hawthorn v Richmond was the worst game he has ever seen.

I expect this sort of shit form my m8's down the pub or at work, but what I cant stomach nor tolerate is the lack of professionalism from these 'so called experts who bring there pub sensibilities and personal animosities (walls) and pass it off as expert commentary.... ohhh ******* please,
My m8's down @ the local are able to string together more coherent and insightful comments about the game and my club then these buffoons

And it seems Llyod is carrying on the underwhelming tradition of his colleagues with his bias and incoherent diatribe

***** the lot of them

Insightful stuff from Walls last nite on Hurley-
'When he gets the ball, he always wants to use it well'

**** me. Now I know where we went wrong.
Someone tell Damien Hardwick to tell the players that you gotta wanna use the ball well. Stop telling them to try and turn the ball over.

Ditto! But now that I'm here. I just could'nt believe some of the absolute dribble. I just thought someone please get these guys a bucket! The comment about Jackson and espacially the one about Vickery not putting on weight. For a so called special comments man retired player and coach. I was astounded by some of Walls's comments and I don't think having a bomber player just retired in there was the best either because he is still so closely connected to the club and cannot give an untainted commentary. Very low on quality commentary Channel 10!!!! And Lloyds openly saying that players have been on to him about the T.V award was just, I don't know what but it was'nt commentary. I could keep going but I'm not going to. We all have some idea where the RFC are at and no ones sweeping it under the carpet. It's a pitty some of these stations don't take a good hard look at themselves and lift their game!!!! Go Tiges
