This topic should be a no brainer and not worth the time on this forum.
The poster would rather have value for money for his memebership over the longevity and financial prosperity of his footy club. Ridiculous!
This is on the back of the Hawks posting there 9th straight profit,
and one of only a handful of Victorian clubs who continue to grow and become finiancialy independent and not rely on handouts. I too am a reserved seat member, and even though 2012 did not provide me and my family with as many games at the G as 2011 , I enjoyed my time folowing the Hawks wherever they played.
To not continue to grow other markets like Tassie and in the future places like NZ would be a backwards step, one that the previous two administartions at the club have worked so hard to achieve. You need not look past the struggling Victorian clubs who try as they may cannot and have not achieved the kind of off field success by tapping into other geographies, eg. Kangas, StKilda, Dogs and others... Through prudent strategic business development, marketing nous and clever recruiting of player and management personnel, Tasmania has been a God sent.
I look forward to the next strategic blue print to see what riches it brings. The Hawks need to continue to position themselves to capture the hearts and minds of the current and future generations like they did in the last 15 years. To not do so would be simply footy suicide.
It is no longer a Victorian game for Victorian fans alone.
