Doesn't make a whole lot of sense to me.I take your point, just saying that perhaps, given his setbacks with injury over the years it may have been hard for him, 3000k's from home on another freezing winter day with a few hundred people watching to have been enthused about playing in the 2's and that when the light at the end of the tunnel has finally arrived and he's playing on the big stage on Friday night footy he might feel a bit more excited about playing and put it in a bit.
Because everyone in the WAFL would be in the same situation. You can only measure against the people you play against, and generally he doesn't measure up.
Plus, the home town argument... should have had a massive effort last night then. Also, with long lay offs in injury, he should have been enthused to play any level, regardless. Someone like Head, busts his gut every week - and I don't know why that sort of effort isn't rewarded, if, apparently, everyone's effort goes up when promoted.
We'll see how Dunn's performance is when he can't get himself up each week like he did that first game. It certainly wasn't there last night, and it may continue to wain. But certainly is indicative of his efforts in the WAFL.
