You see the ink and you want him to be the bad guy. You've doubtless never met the bloke, far less know him.
So you agree, you completely misread what I wrote, or you wanted it to be something else.

Oh, I have met him - but I don't know him.

I'm glad the police exonerated him.
I'm sure you are. Personally I never had an opinion on what I 'wanted' from the police.

Sorry if you wanted a poster boy for violence against women, but keep looking. There are plenty around.

Whatever sanction is warranted for being discourteous in a public place, will be handed down. Let's hope we take this time indiscretion more seriously than other clubs in the past. Yours included/ especially.
Really?

I can think of two occasions in the relatively recent past where Essendon players were involved in similar circumstances. One was charged, one wasn't.

One was suspended for five games, the other three.

You sure you want Richmond take this discretion more seriously?

I love this. A essendon supporter wanting Dusty crucified off the back off one womens accusations which have been proven untrue. Its funny, Essendon got a leg up and a shield by the AFL to help them survive when they were caught cheating and Jade expects the AFL to crush Dusty when the cops, ill say that again, the police have cleared him.

Bottom line, not one witness heard the threat and has come forward, not one. Why ? He was drunk, so loud but nobody heard it ?

How could Dusty slam his hand against her head when a table was separating them as proven in the CCTV vision ? How could he hold chopsticks over her head when a table was separating them ?? I will tell you how, he did not do it and the police, afl, the club know he did not do it.

What is pathetic in all this, people have judged Dusty and assumed his guilt from the start, solely based on his appearance and what they assume his actions would have been based on that fact, that is racist and you disgust me.

There is a huge reason why the media now has said zero, they know she lied. Maybe she wanted to impress her boss, who knows but she has got caught out as the facts in her story has not held up at all.

People have suggested because he apologized he must be guilty. Well you simpletons, he apologized for being drunk before she went on TV and lied her ass off. Witnesses that were there have come forward and said she was super aggressive to Dusty, baiting him to react. I have no doubt he insulted her in response but the rest is now proven to be made up bullshit and that has now been proven.

The AFL wont touch Dusty. The club will fine him for being Drunk in pre season, maybe take a leaf out of Carltons books and punish Dusty with more training. The irony, jade and others like him expect Dusty to cop more from the AFL then known drug cheats, its laughable.
She called him and his family trailer trash, how would you numpties react to that?

Heard the same mate. She wanted a story, trashed talked him. Dusty was a idiot to respond and will be fined by the club i have no doubt but she made a whole lot of bullshit up, its the reason she would not make a report to the cops. Its the reason both the club and AFL went to the police themselves as her story just did not hold up to the facts..yet you get racist at worst, or just simply biased idiots who gleefully wanted Dusty guilty, without the facts being proven.

Seeing that he's a high profile person he should have been trained or know by now not to be baited. There were several responses he could take such as complaining to the manager, ignoring or even leaving. He made a bad judgement call in how he reacted.

And if we boo on the ground we are racists yet an AFL partner employs racists.

You queried why anyone would think the police's exoneration changes anything.

Well, I'd wager that a damning charge would have occasioned firmer action than an exoneration. Your post was silly, just admit it & apologise.

Hurley 3 weeks - for bashing a hapless taxi driver just trying to get his fare

Hibberd (hamstring at the time) - smashed a bloke, who then hit his head on concrete, was fortunate to live, and woke up in Frankston hospital. 4 games.

"Similar circumstances"? Please.

Both charged. Both found guilty. Both treated with kid gloves.

We're better than that.

Proven? I don't think so.
How so Chief ?

Explain to me how he is proven to have threaten her ?

Bottom line and the facts are pretty clear. The police investigated the incident, interviewed witnesses, reviewed CCTV footage etc and her "alleged" story could not be proven and they, ya know the police are convinced no criminal action took place. I will say that again, the police have decided no criminal action had taken place....so again, I ask you, how is it not proven ?

Or are you also like the foaming masses on here convicting Dusty based solely on that women word and thats it. Is that better proof ? you claimed in a prior post that witnesses backed her up, well sorry, the rumors you heard were wrong...they didnt and the police investigation proved that.

In matter of fact, witnesses that were actually there came forward disputing her version, hence her allegation fell apart.

What straw is that?

We'll see if the AFL (through Richmond) penalises him.
Like i said dude, a token fine for being a booze hound on a weekend the whole playing group was on the piss. If your hoping for a games ban then that is the clutching at straws, AFL won't do shit, they washed their hands as soon as they handballed it off to the cops.

My post was entirely accurate.

Would you like me to repeat it again?

I'm not sure what you think has changed - will still be sanctioned by club and/or AFL.

Now you see, the silly part is not correctly reading what I ACTUALLY said, as opposed to what would have suited your purposes better.

We call that a straw man.

I'm not really hoping for anything.

I'm suggesting that Martin is likely to be suspended for some period of time.

Not a year like some have suggested, but I suspect heavy enough that it sends a fairly clear message.

As has been mentioned, there are any number of reasons a person would not talk to police. You are upset that people decided based on reported facts, yet you believe without doubt that she made it up? Do you see the irony here?

Ask yourself: Why would you make up something as bizarre as a threat with a chopstick?
Why would his friend(s) have been so insistent and panicked in getting him away from the situation?
The police have said they don't think a criminal offence took place. Fair enough, but with no statement from the lady in question it is hardly the vindication you think it is.
I also don't think people were biased and wanting him to be guilty - but the facts as reported were not flattering, specially as he claims he can't recall what happened.

Also - I don't know if it was you that brought up provocation, but provocation isn't a defence in assault.

Clear message for what ? he never threatened the lady...so a message about getting drunk and being a idiot ? Carlton have already given that message by offering more training as punishment and that player actually hit someone. Dusty was not violent at all, just told a women to **** off basically after she baited the shit out of him.

The AFL wont touch it. The club will fine him, he may miss a NAB game or two if there was a drinking ban already set by the club. that would be it. I just love how Jade expects Dusty to get more punishment then Hurley who actually beat the crap out of a poor taxi driver who was just trying to support his family.

No-one. Surprisingly. You told us it was a serious assault, reported as fact, with multiple supporting witnesses.
I told you? That was what was reported. We still don't know what happened as the main witness didn't give a statement. I doubt his mates - standing right there sharply telling him to come away - would have dobbed him in.
