It should have been 9-0 in my opinion. The Grimes for 'holding the ball' in the 1st quarter was the worst non-decision I've ever seen in world sport.

I’m not sure if they counted it but I’m almost certain Richmond got a second free right on the quarter time siren but didn’t take the kick.
Edit. Yep rewatched last 30 seconds and it’s holding the ball against gray.

This kind of thing needs to be stamped out. It's lucky Clurey wasn't injured or Riewoldt hurt from a potential tunneling.

Dusty = protected species.
Jack = protected species.

There’s your free kick.

Of course you don’t have vision because to have vision it needed to happen.

Also revisit the first quarter frees and you will see they were all warranted. Port was all over top of Richmond hence the free kick count.

unfortunately, people tend to take notice more and record vision of a dual norm smith, dual premiership and a brownlow medalist's more then a gold coast reject having his first good season.

If there’s no vision how do you know it happened.

Should have been a free - nothing more.

Richmond fans complaining of the free kick count in the first - which free kicks towards Richmond was missed? Or are you suggesting the ones we got weren't there? Either way, interested to see specific examples.

I know at least one (Grimes) that 100% should have been one more to Port that wasn't paid.

There was lots of missed free kicks in the game, both ways. But at quarter time, most of the decisions seemed correct.

Yes, lets frame the narrative of the crap umpiring of yesterdays game by focusing on that one decision ignoring that dixion did the same thing just before that. Also port had 8 free kicks to 1 in the first quarter and that 1 richmond free kick was in the last 2min of the quarter. Port then finished 22 free kicks to Richmond’s 11 in the end...
Lol,oppos focus on the few frees we got or non decisions when we cop badumpiring for the rest of the game, laughable.

There is an umpire now that has paid 48 to 5 frees in 4 games against us,not one word about that is there, then we get a few frees in a 5 minute passage of play and oppos lose their minds about it lmfaoooooooooooo.

I know this is old but Jack has to have the worst luck getting frees, rarely ever gets umpire assistance.

12 frees for this year, 17 last year, averages under 1 free a game for his career.
He averages .99 frees a game so maybe don't try hide the truth.

Petracca averages .75
Hawkins .92
Rance 1.54

Fact is you're just a big sook mate without an ability to do research.

.99 is under 1 genius.

Fact is you need to complete your schooling before commenting on what we adults are discussing, now move along champ.

This thread really needs to be moved to the Tom Hawkins board, if we are going to talk about blatant pushing and injuries

Frees for / Frees against

Martin..........215..........342
Fyfe.............230..........293
Danger.........446.........299
Shuey...........352.........254
Billings............97...........38

Dangerfield yes, Martin / Fyfe no.
Needs more Joel Selwood

Dusty's right hand completely misses his back and his left hand makes contact with the blokes arm, not back. The spud fell over due to his own incompetence or staging.

You bloody crybabies.

He fell over because the doofus lost his footing stepping on Martin’s foot, but nobody wants to acknowledge this as it destroys their sooky narrative.

There is a rule, its just push in the back and was missed.
We give players too much credit, saying they should consider XYZ in every different scenario - they just arnt that bright, especially in the moment. See ball, get ball is the mentality, what happens in between is all snap decisions.

Jesus people jumping at the chance to get on the Richmond hating bandwagon, absolutely nothing in this one happens a million times per game
Media to blame also.only focus on the 50,50s Richmond get, hide under the carpet the multitude of frees we don’t get but that’s the medja for you.

This thread can be best summed up by below. Maybe if Port didn't have faux tough guys dropping sitters (Duursma), or other players panicking and either A: throwing the ball, or B: deliberate out of bounds, we wouldn't see nanny state whinging like this.
