I'm glad north has a sense of humour.

At the very least it has kept English spirits afloat as the empire broke down.
It's funny you mention senses of humour. Retchmond supporters must have one of the best developed senses of humour, given them being the butt of the football world's joke for so long.

Serious question.

What gets Dusty to North?
Money.
Williams.
Less public eye.
Kelly.

Id suggest that these would all be factors in his consideration process.

Since we're throwing around serious questions:

What do Richmond do if he leaves as a FA.

We would match the bid, then bleed whoever dry.

Let's be clear though, it obviously won't be North.

You would end up utilising all of your salary cap to keep your own player.

Sheer idiocy, a bit like hunger striking. No one cares.

This isn't local footy, he won't join a club because he has a mate playing for them, Williams isn't going to be any factor, especially since that's 1 friend he has at North compared to all his mates at Richmond kind of cancels it out;)

I don't rule out that this is our secondary position.

If we can't have him, bump his price to a point where their cap is uncomfortable.

We either improve ourselves or impede an opponent.

It goes hand in hand, but if Dusty really wants out to North, and Richmond play funny buggers, then I expect we will pick him up for nothing in the PSD, and Richmond will be left with a million plus dollar hole in their spending..

It's not as if Brisbane are going to keep a spare million plus up their sleeves in case he nominates for the PSD. They are hell bent on keeping their list together and will have pulled the trigger on their cap space by then in order to keep their players bedded down.

We would get him. However, I'd prefer we keep the PSD 1/2 pick for something else.

Under normal circumstances this statement would have some merit, however ...... in 2018 Richmond cease paying Chris Yarran & a % of Brett Deledio's contract. While nobody knows exactly how much this frees up, a figure of somewhere between $350-$500K is believable. Yes, it is only 1 year and Dusty will be offered 4-5 years, but next years huge salary cap increase and smaller increases every year after, I expect that Richmond could easily match any offers made.

Okay.

I stand corrected.

You will be able to bring Simon Tunbridge or Alex Johnston to your club.

They're actually dancing to the song "We play North Melbourne next week........."
Not sure how it goes, but i knew it complete when I wore a younger man's clothes.....
I expect a red card for that, but it was worth it.
Ok, so clearly not in a finals year of late.......1983?

quite funny that Bobby Sands liked that comment - wasn't he a hunger striker a coupole of decades back? Irish style?
