Update from NZ, still haven't managed to catch up with Dusty or Carr or Scott.

However, a colleague of mine did have a few drinks last night and told me this morning he was "feeling dusty". Omen??
Whatever it takes?........

All these articles and comments about his old man valuing loyalty purely because he was a bikie...don't make me laugh.

I don't pretend to know Dusty's old man and I'm not saying it has any impact whatsoever on Dusty or his decision, but most bikies don't know the meaning of loyalty. They talk a big game about it and get it tattooed on their necks, but the reality is that they care about themselves and themselves only. People that say otherwise haven't had a lot to do with them.

I love it. Opposing fans whine, kick and scream. While we're almost Mafia like. Cold and calculated. No fuss. Just up the price...

Busy time for the mods coming up one way or the other.
We'll be ready for anything!

I don't know for sure, but thought I read somewhere (reputable, not BF) that managers' percentages were regulated by the league as part of their accreditation. And yeah, additional services are more of a free-for-all, since I guess the manager can do to drum up that business than simply attaching themselves remora-like to a player who's gonna get paid regardless.
I recall something along those lines too. If I trust my dodgy memory it's 3% for football income but for endorsements and other income it's between the player and manager.

3-4% for salaries & 15-20% for merchandising
Yes, Paul Connors stated last week that the industry standard for agents fees had recently risen from 3 to 4% of a player's playing contract, and the rest was negotiable but generally between the range you mention Kanga1996.

Yeah, I don't know if I agree with this. You can't view them from a standard societal viewpoint as they are basically anarchist groups that embrace their own values and codes. I personally align myself more with their thinking than the generic groupthink that is shoved down the throats of the average Australian.

There is usually a very heavy price to pay for disloyalty with these people. It is enforced with violence.

This. The loyalty is to a patch. A footy jumper isnt a patch. Throw 10 million dollars into the equation and all bets are off.

KB just asked Brian Waldron what his Northern Spy had told him about the difference between the North and Richmond offers to Dusty.

"North's offered $1.5M over 8 years and the Tigers $1.1M over 7. What would you do Kev?" said Waldron.

KB - "Cry!"

Throw in drugs and drug money, and there is no loyalty amongst criminals or it's short lived a like bullet to the heart and two to the head .
Generations ago it was most likely different.

**** me that's at least 2.8 difference going by 7 year comparison. Throw in the 8th year, you'd imagine Dusty would get under a million and the difference is even more juicier.

I dont know which hurts the tuggers more:

2015 Preliminary final smack down
vs
2017 raid on Dusty

Damn I love the tuggers. They've won a top 4 place, and playing finals but the leading topic on their forum is whether dusty stays. An absolute miserable lot.

If we're not ending their finals dreams we're actively trying to dismantle their future. Love this club!!

You can't assign the entire drug trade to biker culture. You are falling in to the Hun level hysteria mentality.

If you ever managed to actually associate with any of these people, you would know that there are some truly outstanding men amongst their ranks.

True, there are also some truly rotten eggs there too but that applies to the wider society.

Also anyone who has associated with bikers knows that at times members do change clubs.
