Let me start off ,,, He is a freak of a player and is an elite talent that can win us games and i love him for that reason HOWEVER ever since the whole deal with him wanting to leave for the cash (loyalty = 0 ) going to GWS and touring around. I just cant look at him the same way i used to almost like your mate betraying you but apologising to you and all your mates and still hangs out with you... if that makes sense

dose anyone feel the same way or is it just me ?

Welcome to the new world order of footy. Was poorly advised but he ended up staying and as long as he stays in a Richmond jumper, I will love this bloke. Watched the last 5 minutes of the Carlton game multiple times and couldn't help but wonder the terror Tuohy must have felt being left alone with him that close to goal with no one within a hundred metres of them.

Could still become the best player in the comp. By the end of this year I predict he will at least be in the
top 10-15 players.

Comfortably our best player. Gws wasn't a good look, but he stayed and thank god he did.

Should have been offered as much as riewoldt, Chaplin, deledio, cotch imo. and I am not just saying that because his dad is standing behind me.

As mentioned its part of the footy landscape now with free agency, expansion clubs, and clubs looking to build up cash war chests. And IMO a player of his ability and age was crazy not to look around even if poorly advised.I'm not sure how many other teams actually inquired about him through it all, but I bet any that didn't are kicking themselves now.

Footy is a business now and players realise their role in the show and ask to be duly compensated. Every year players leave clubs for better opportunities elsewhere sometimes it games, sometimes to return home and more often than not it's about $$$$. I don't begrudge anyone for that and to be honest if someone were to offer me a deal to good to refuse I would consider leaving my job of 22 years and I am guessing most people would.

We the fans are loyal and passionate mob towards our players but have little to no idea on the back room deals that go on and never make light of day. Have we tabled offers or enquired to players managers at other clubs that has never been reported? I imagine we have many times and will continue to. That's where the game sits now unfortunately.

Will Martin be a one club player? Who knows, that's up to him but let's enjoy it while he wears yellow & black

Comfortably is going a bit far. Cotchin still has more influence on games overall I think.

It was quite clear he was poorly managed in terms of how sports management works but from the sounds of things Dusty never really wanted to leave and signed accordingly.

Not every player is like Ellis who says i'll sign whatever you put infront of me but Dusty cops a bad rap for the way he was managed IMHO

To get the full picture, said photo would need to be accompanied by an audio recording of what he said when he was up there - how, according to GWS, he went on and on about how much he loved Richmond and Cotch and so on.

Not at all, I consider him the best player we have and in fact blame the club in some part for the hijinx for considerably underpaying him.....he is not worth 2/3 of daisy Thomas or crameri or Cotchin or riewoldt for that matter. He is entitleted to be our best paid player, simple . Understand that and you will grow to love him once more
